“Warm, inviting, pleasant & sweet.They had cream puffs, oh sweet mercy.I do declare, I felt like Foley Al had a lil bit of New Orleans La, a done 'tumpt into the square (for non southerners, that means "infused with grace, left right where it is because that's where it belongs") with all the flare of a good southern mother who will be as gentle as your leave her to be unless you mess with her child/ren.This bakery is where good cakes and good cupcakes are delivered forthwith.I like that word, very military and southern...forthwith cupcakes!Sweet surrender; it is great for Bible study, a game day, a closing treat for a house signing, a way to meet new friends who are vacationing near you fortuitously, or because you woke up n you want to sunbath on a balcony with your coffee n Cake.Daughter agreed, lemon bars are also in that category, husband just walked past nodding with MY, MY cream puff...he took it like a king n walked off LIKE...?!!!MY chocolate confection, I procured...it was gone as he nodded and headed for the balcony ?? military operation "relief of cream puff" secured.Literally the last time he took a goodie was in New Orleans, he doesn't eat them often...a bite here or there not the whole thing ? “I called this morning at 9am and ordered 2 dozen assorted cookies. When I picked them up they were still warm and the recipients loved them. I was gifted a box of these almost 2 years ago and if I need a gift this is always a hit. I also picked up a couple for myself and they were delish! Highly recommend!!“

In addition to cakes, they offer a tempting variety of sweet treats, such as cookies, donuts, bars, cheesecakes, pastries, cupcakes, and cake slices. So, if you're looking for a quick dessert fix, they've got you covered! I wanted to get a special cake for our 45th wedding anniversary and I've heard nothing but stellar things about Coastal Cakes. The cake was awesome, both looks and tastes, the price was good and the staff were really super helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. I will have these folks on speed dial for all my cake needs in the future. Bottom line: Whether you're celebrating a milestone, craving something sweet, or just exploring Gulf Shores, be sure to stop by Coastal Cakes and Confections for a delightful experience! “A chain from the 80s and 90s is still a top shop in Gulf Shores. Ice cream, frozen yogurt, soft serve, and Mrs. Fields cookies. What more could you want? The staff is friendly, patient, and helpful, and they’re good at working with you to try to get your best “combination” (for example, if you wanted a parfait, they ask what you’re looking to get, and they might recommend making it a “Sundae” instead because that had a different number of toppings). In addition, their sheer amount of flavors and toppings is wonderful, especially these strawberry boba bubbles I’d never seen at an ice cream place before that were soooo good (we got them on our sundae!) We choose the $8.99 make-your-own-sundae, with 2 large scoops and 4 toppings. It was perfect for the two of us and a good price for so much. We had peanut butter frozen yogurt and chocolate frozen yogurt; my wife didn’t think the frozen yogurt was as flavorful, and she couldn’t taste the Peanut Butter, but I liked them both. We had Oreos, Reese’s pieces, the juicy fruit bubbles, and brownie pieces on it. It was really delicious and I would definitely stop here for dessert again, especially compared to the $15 sundaes for half the size across the street!“

“I've been baking for 45 years & learned from my mom & grandmother who were excellent cooks & bakers. I am particular in baked goods & expect a nice restaurant or bakery to have quality not quantity.I bought a 4 pack of cupcakes, Strawberry, Caramel, German chocolate & wedding cake. 3 of us split the cakes & agree the strawberry was our ultimate favorite. All of the cakes were moist & delicious & can recommend them all. Will def be back when Im visiting!!“
