A friendly atmosphere with well prepared, authentic German food. We've been twice in the last few weeks and look forward to another visit. The schnitzel is excellent served with red cabbage and German potato salad. And the desserts are delicious. The restaurant is connected to the shop so you can have a nice dinner then pick up some souvenirs - almost like a trip to Germany itself!

My wife and I had our Friday date lunch here. We arrived at 11:45AM and were greeted and seated immediately. The restaurant was clean and neat, but had limited inside seating. The restaurant filled up quickly, but the service was outstanding. We had a currywurst appetizer, jagerschnitzel and Weinerschnitzel entrees and Black Forest cake dessert. All the food was excellent! The Black Forest cake was truly delicious.

We are a German family visiting the area so decided to check this place out...what a gem! We were so happy with the food and service! We ordered Kase Kuchen, Curry wurst and Leberkäse sandwich. Very friendly staff and an authentic menu of foods, desserts and beverages. Make sure to check out the convenience store portion of the restaurant to take home some German goodies! If we visit the area again, we will definitely stop by!

This is the best kept secret in Columbus/Phenix City! This family-owned business has authentic German cuisine that you can sit down and enjoy or take home! They also have bratwurst, schnitzel and a great many grocery items that you can take home to cook! They also have some great authentic German items like lederhosen, dirndls, German hats, vests and so much more! This is a very wonderful family that has been serving Fort Benning's Octoberfest on Uchee Creek for many years! If you haven't been to one, you need to put it on your Calendar for next year right now. Check out their website:

I've eaten at the truck and store multiple times. Had currywurst and fries. Yum so good.

We just enjoyed a wonderful authentic German meal that reminded us of our tour of duty in Germany. We tried the Jager schnitzel, German potato salad, sauerkraut and cucumber salad. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed every bite! Black forest cake for dessert was the perfect ending to our first visit. We will be back!

Nice little family ran business. Our dinner was made to order. I could hear them pounding the schnitzel out as we waited. The deli and dessert case is something I noticed on the way out. The staff was super friendly.

Awesome little piece of Deutschland tucked away in Georgia. Nice selection of meats and foods as well as gifts. Small variety of lederhosens as well. Great service by folks that understand Germany and German culture

The store had German specialty items which was nice, but I was treating my mother to lunch because she was missing German food. She ordered the schnitzel, cucumber salad and fries and the same for a to go order for her husband with the purple cabbage. The schnitzel was dry and no seasoning but she did enjoy the cucumber salad.

A two-parter. One side is a low-key restaurant and the other side is stocked with shelves of hard to find imported European and German staple delights, savory and sweet.

The owners are straight out of Germany, I spoke to one woman and she was from Frankfurt. The interior is traditional German, with lots of authentic products and food. Including baked desserts. Wednesday and Friday are Schnitzel day, and this place would be a great stop to try food from Deutschland.

Tried them out on a whim. So glad I did! The food was delicious and the store is quaint. To get to the restaurant you enter through the store. Both are small but adequate. Their menu is also small which I feel is important- focus on what you do well. They did not disappoint. The schnitzel was yummy and the tomato/pepper sauce was so tasty. I love sauerkraut but their red cabbage outshone the sauerkraut. To end the meal I had the beesting dessert- sweet cream filling between layers topped with almonds and honey- oh my goodness! So delicious. Brought home an apple strudel for breakfast so will update one it has been tasted but on looks alone it is beautiful. Their deli selection was impressive as was the limited offerings of the attached store. Will be back for some fresh bread and desse

Like being atop the Schwarzer Grat, this little taste of Deutschland is everything you could ask for in a small town in Alabama. The meat, the pastries, and the funny accents are all worth the trip. Friendly folks and good service.
