These are the best tamales I've had. There is a very small dining room to have them freshly steamed or they also sell them frozen, and they reheat wonderfully at home. Their sauces are excellent. The owner and staff are super nice.

But this thing where I'm ordering for takeout on your app and then I go to pick it up and you guys closed early and didn't tell me? That sucks. Like, that was our dinner tonight. Not cool.A little communication would go a long way.

The food is delicious and authentic. My only complaint is that they couldn't provide me with a receipt. Business owners need to realize that a receipt should be available if requested. Email is not acceptable if a paper receipt is requested.

Amazingly fantastic tamales!! I usually go with a cooler and buy 5-10 dozen frozen tamales and cook them at home. I've cooked them for friends and usually end up giving them a dozen to take home. Everyone loves them. All are great but I particularly like the brisket (#1 baby!) and the pork. I have family in Mex and lived there for a year in the 1970's and these tamales are as good as any I've had. It's more of a tamale production place than a restaurant but they have a couple of tables near the counter. Do not miss this place!! The people are great too.

From someone who swore off tamales years ago after so many bad ones, these are FABULOUS!!! The jalapeño cheesesteak is 10/10!!! Really cute little area at Highside Market but also a shop over in Phenix City too.
