We went to The Docks last summer and had a horrible experience to say the least. I spoke to the owner, Linda Hall, and she offered a free dinner with a sincere apology. We went back for the free dinner. I texted Linda so she was aware of us being there. She was very positive. Wait, we went the next night for dinner. It was a much worse experience than before. After 55 minutes since we ordered our food, we got up and left!! Linda & Mark Hall, owners, you have serious issues when your kitchen can’t shuck a dozen oysters in less than 55 minutes!! Ridiculous!!I’ve went to the Docks for decades, but never again. It’s not worth my time to go to Scottsboro for a free meal at The Docks, I’ll pass!! It’s a shame to see this is the best you can do!!!!! ? Very disappointed Linda Hall!!

We just left from eating supper. Miranda was our waitress. She did a very good job but the lady that sat us an older gray headed lady I assume is the manager or owner was awful. She was talking down to Miranda because of some confusion with an order while we were standing beside them trying to pay Miranda for our bill. She even clenched her fist at Miranda and very sternly said what did they order! No staff should be treated this way! We are all human and should be treated fairly. We all make mistakes. No one is perfect! This was uncalled for and she owes the waitress an apologize and should take some.lessons on professionalism. Just be kind to one another. Other than that the food was good and the view is beautiful!

The food was excellent. The shrimp and grits were great. The ribeye with sides of mashed potatoes and vegetable medley were awesome. Ribeye was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere at The Docks was awesome, too. Laid back southern cuisine and a beautiful view of the lake.

Food came out slow and cold. My wife ordered a petit filet medium and medium well and cold. Fish tacos were cold but the sides were hot. Cheese fritters took 45 mins to come to the table.

We went here last night and it was my 1st time to eat in this place. We waited about 1hr and 20 mins mins for our food and when it came it is not what we ordered. The waitress apologize and said she could put our orders in again but we didn't wanna wait another 1hr and 20 mins so we left. Never going back to this place again!

No stars, actually. As soon as we greeted the hostess, she was flat out rude and unprofessional. Repeatedly informed us that we didn’t have a reservation and there was 2 groups coming in of 11 and 16 that had a reservation. We were just a family of 5. We had to wait while several small tables were open. We watched her approach 3 coworkers to complain about our arrival. We could hear her and see that they were staring at us as they were speaking. We felt as though it was against all rules that we didn’t have a reservation.Once seated, no one greeted us at all. We were sat by the bar, no biggie. Dealing with that even though we had two children. It was a complete party scene. We did not know this was a bar as the menu I picked up said steakhouse. Anyway, after so long of not being greeted, we left and ate at 50 Taters. We are staying at the Campground on the same grounds as The Docks. But will not go back to The Docks.Train your front staff that they are the face of your business as customers walk in the door and don’t make them feel like an inconvenience.

The raw oysters were great. Spinach salad was oolala. The servers were so busy, a few more cooks or servers would have helped.

The food was amazing and very high quality for a reasonable price. And definitely appreciate the freshness of all of it! The owner spoke with us and has an amazing story and we loved chatting with him. Will definitely be back!

Upon first ordering I was thrown back by the price nothing of substance under 20$ so I knew from then on this is the big leagues.I ordered the Hawaiian steak. I was pleasantly surprised for the 2nd time! This meal came with a soup! Upon getting the soup I expected a bowl something plain but no it was something more southern! A soup in a mug I loved it!! It was so unique! After a short wait probably to put the finishing touches on the steak. We were served! The steak was cooked exactly how I requested.Midway thru the meal we were swarmed with mosquitos. So we had to eat quick!Overall I loved the experience! The things I would say needed some work are:the employees seemed to be in a constant state of busy and because of this the service for my table was slowed down. The awful mosquitos maybe a bug net around the outdoor section to keep out the bugs. They were flying all around my meal and face.

First time there for a wedding rehearsal dinner... Casual restaurant that's on the water with really great food and drinks. You can eat inside or out on the deck. Order an appetizer, the fried pickles and the fried mushrooms are the best. I recommend the shrimp and grits, my husband recommends the fried oysters. It was a great dining experience and we definitely will be back.
