It was extremely hot, as if the air wasn’t working. We wait for over 30 minutes and never received our food. Our waitress was very rude as was the woman at the front. We were charged $20 for 3 drinks and 2 salads. The salad bar was nearly empty with wilted lettuce. You get 20oz drinks, so no refills. Very very unhappy. For the price you would expect better service and a cleaner atmosphere. The walls look like they’re splattered with old food and the chairs were sticky. I would much rather go down the road to the front porch, where I Atleast receive my order. And their “aged steak” is just laying open near the front door uncovered and unrefrigerated.

We ended up leaving after over 30 minutes with no food (she “forgot” to turn our order in) our bill for 3 drinks and 2 salads was $20, no apology for the wait and it was boiling hot. The lady at the front gave me a horrible attitude when I told her why we were leaving. I asked for a slice of lemon shortly after getting there and never received that either. The waitress was rude and never checked on us after taking our drink order. Overall was very disappointed and won’t visit again. For somewhere that charges $17 for a hamburger steak you sure expect better service.

As much as we try to support small business owners, we were only slightly pleased with our experience on December 30, 2022. We had a party of 25-30 . Family came from Birmingham, Berry, Fayette, and other surrounding towns. Our server did not introduce herself but only asked for our drink order as each person arrived. She had a business-like tone and did not smile or even act happy to be our server. There were candles on our tables but not lit. My uncle asked for some matches so we could light the candles ourselves and our server looked at him like it was too much for him to ask. She never brought matches or a lighter. Most of our food arrived about an hour after ordering except for items that were grilled. Our server stated that the grill was backed up and that food would be served as soon as possible. My husband was almost finished with his fried catfish when I received my grilled chicken. The consensus from our family was that the food was flavored well, but just wasn't hot when it arrived to the table. Our server (name unknown) who had been employed for 13 years should have had an extra server helping her out. She seemed overwhelmed and did not smile even once. She only had a business-like tone and seemed to want to get us out of the restaurant as soon as possible. Although she was not rude to us, she was not friendly at all. Gratuity was included in our check so I understood why our server was so unpleasant with us. She knew she would receive a tip regardless of how she behaved with us.
