Unprofessional and overpriced. No matter how good your cake is, customer service is key. Details are below. In preparation for my parents' milestone wedding anniversary celebration, Ms. Connie provided a quote for a custom 3-tier cake that included delivery and setup. The quote seemed a little high, but she was familiar with the event location. Although she is located 1 hour from my parents, they traveled to Ms. Connie's business to purchase a cupcake or cake slice to taste since Ms. Connie does not offer free cake tastings. The plan was if they liked the cake, then they would proceed to discuss the cake design. Ms. Connie had no cake samples, cupcakes, or slices for my parents to taste. Instead, they only tasted cake frosting. Ridiculous! What professional baker doesn't keep cake for tasting on hand. After meeting with my parents, the quote Ms. Connie provided was $200 more than the original quote. The cake she discussed with my parents didn't even include the three flavors my mother really wanted. In an effort to advocate for my parents, I called Ms. Connie to inquire about her meeting with my parents and how the quote was determined. Her reaction to my inquiry was one of irritation. I offered clarification on the event and the budget. She stopped me in mid sentence and demanded, "Send me what you want." She would then see what she can do in the budget. I provided Ms. Connie a diagram of the desired cake with the number of tiers and decoration reduced. I expected the quote to drop at least $100. Not the case. In response, Ms. Connie sent me a text that was simply discourteous and abrupt. The cake price only dropped $40. She reiterated that she doesn't offer free tastings and that my parents could purchase an 8-inch cake for $40. So, no savings at all. It made no sense. Fortunately, the cake Ms. Connie created for the anniversary celebration tasted satisfactory. However, after my interaction with her, I would not recommend Olde Enzor Lane based on principle alone. There are other cake designers/bakers, who operate professionally with a focus on customer service.

Today we hosted a baby shower for my niece and it was absolutely the best experience I could have hoped for. The food was delicious, the decorations were perfect (they used a few personal items of the expectant mother and dad for a personal touch) and all the hostesses were able to enjoy the wonderful event instead of worrying about the food, cleanup, etc. The price was very reasonable and you can select your own menu for a variety of events. The lovely antique furniture made the setting very homey - it made our special day perfect! HIGHLY RECOMMEND for any type of bridal shower, baby shower, etc.
