Big fan of the original Avenue pub, figured we would try the new one in Northbank....Menu is the same as the original so figure it should be good, unfortunately I realize new places need to get the kinks out, but when its the same menu should be easy, Fries were cold, my wife's steak sub was cold and over cooked. Daughter's fries were cold, so clearly they were sitting around. The place is great outside areas, nice bar, wait staff were super friendly...need to get the kinks out ASAP.

I had the pork chop brunch plate with potatoes and fried egg and it was AMAZING! Pork chop was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. Tasted like it came straight out of a black iron skillet actually!!! Which is a plus of course. Live music was playing in the bar and it was quit delightful! My new fav place in Tuscaloosa to escape downtown. My compliments to the chef. Do keep it up.

Love the atmosphere and the fact that I got a happy hour burger slider for only $5!

Been 3 times since the opening and service and food have been consistently outstanding. Wouldn't expect anything less from the Avenue Pub brand and owners. Will continue to go by weekly, this was much needed for the North River area.

10's across the board. I ordered the fried fish and fries with a salad. My husband ordered the steak sandwich and salad. You could tell the the tartar sauce, ranch dressing and blackberry vinegarette was homemade and very delicious. We sat outside on the patio and the atmosphere was amazing.

Great atmosphere and location. The dinner was really good (salmon), but the brunch was just decent. It doesn’t help when you order Huevos Rancheros and they forget the eggs. Overall I think prices are higher than they should be and the menu is far too small. Beautiful building and back patio.

Paid $80 for dinner for 2 so we could be ignored for an hour. Our server took our order and never stopped by our table again. We never got a single refill. The table behind us got sat, ordered, ate, paid, and left between the last time we saw our server and the time we finally just flagged someone else down to ask for our check (about twenty to thirty minutes after we finished eating). That server handled the entire transaction. We never saw our actual server again. Again--this was an $80 experience, BEFORE tip (and we did leave a tip, because we weren't sure if it would go to our original server or if it would go to the server who eventually closed us out and who didn't do anything wrong--so after tip, this was a damn near $100 meal for 2).We've fully stopped going to the downtown location after the consistently terrible experiences with the waitstaff and this was our attempt to give Avenue Pub another chance at their new location. Unfortunately, it looks like we need to not go to this location either. I don't know what's going on with these restaurants, but they really need to get it together if they want to charge that much for a meal. It's genuinely rare that we have a bad experience at other restaurants but it's. Every. Single. Time at Avenue Pub. From waiting 30 minutes to get a check AFTER we ask for it to waiting for 10 minutes with food and no silverware at the bartop because the bartenders are too busy gossiping at the end of the bar to realize you're trying to get their attention, it's been truly horrible experiences with the service staff every time we've gone for over two years now. And what kills me is that it's NEVER been because they're busy--they just don't care! I might pay that much money for the food IF it came out quickly (it doesn't, by the way) and the service was good but, as it is now, it's simply not worth it.

I would recommend this place to have a meal with your friends. I liked how un-salty my food was. Atmosphere is also good.

We had the chicken bites, Parmesan chicken, and a salad. It was fabulous as usual and Diego really took great care of us! Love the atmosphere at the new North Bank location!

The whole experience was great and our girls loved it so much… especially my 19 month old who had to hug the sweet hostess before we left!! And our waitress Lexi made our day!! She was SO sweet and amazingly prompt with everything! We just loved her!!!Thank you guys for making our little family outing the best???

Had a group of five out on the patio this evening. Arrived early in the evening and found a spot around a fire pit. We were all excited to get a fire pit spot because while the day hit 70 degrees today, the temps were dropping and the evening was cool. But just after our arrival the staff realized the fire pit was out of propane but they didn’t replace. No one from management came out to say “sorry” or “hey can we get you all settled somewhere else.” Being out of propane is a huge miss and something that should be checked daily if the fire pits are in working order. And now to the drinks — three folks ordered cocktails and two ordered beers: two lemon drops and a salted dog, and a couple of draft beers. Beers good. Cocktails meh. Granted they were only $5 for their Tito’s special but again unimpressed. Food was okay as well. Two folks got the hamburger sliders and liked those but the fries were lackluster as if they’ve sitting under a warming lamp for a long time (one person has had their fries before and had bad fries then too). Two folks had fish and chips. Nice amount of fish and chips but again lackluster fries and the fried fish was oily and lacked some oomph of flavor. This was definitely not worth the price for the fish and chips. Fifth person had a chicken sandwich with a side of beans and rice. The sandwich they liked. But the beans and rice came out looking dry. Again like it had been sitting under the warming lamp. I would say the food server was great. Thanks Lilly. She was truly the only positive. Overall, I’d not return to Avenue Pub which was honestly a huge bummer to have to say. Great location, cool looking place with great visual appeal. But the execution of the details from the fire pit, food and drinks just missed it completely.

Another Avenue Pub, another review.Went at around 5pm, so beat the dinner rush. No wait. The new place has a slightly more upscale vibe compared to their downtown location. Definitely geared more toward an adult crowd. I didn't see any claustrophobic cubby holes to seat customers, so that's a plus over the downtown location. My son ordered a bacon burger, no onions, and ended up getting an onion burger with no bacon. Wife ordered Parmesan chicken - which is supposed to be covered in whatever sauce makes it great - and it arrived without any sauce. New staff comes with growing pains, but I didn't think there would be this many mistakes out the gate. The Parmesan chicken order was fixed quickly, and they brought out bacon to put on the burger while I helped pull off the onions. Management took the burger off the bill for our troubles, which was appreciated.I ordered the pork sandwich and had no issues. Use a fork and knife, or your hands will smell like the sandwich for a few hours regardless of how hard you scrub.Parking wasn't a problem, but looking around, I'm not sure where they expect people to park once they (and the nearby restaurants) get really busy. Not a bad experience, and I'm sure it'll get better once the staff figures it out. If I could offer any advice to management, it would be to train the staff/cooks just a little better before releasing them to the wild as that would introduce less hiccups and lower their stress level, which makes for a better experience for everyone.

Walked right in and was immediately seated. Our waitress, Abby, was amazing! Supper friendly and personable which is refreshing. Atmosphere and food was a 10/10 as well as the view from the bar room.Parking: Nice to have parking close to the restaurant instead of having to park in a garage and walk a few blocks to the restaurant.
