There’s often a line in front of this place, so I guess that’s a sign that it’s good. This is definitely one of the best restaurants in town. I had the diplomas signature pasta, and my wife had the shrimp scampi. The food is delicious! We had excellenttossed green salads with vinaigrette sauce. The only downside is that the food can be slightly greasy. I will be back next time for the pizza!

Get the Mediterranean pasta, add salmon and sub out for the spinach fettuccine. You won’t regret it!! I’ve been coming here to eat since I was a kid (I’m 36 now) and the food, atmosphere and service has always and is always fantastic. One of my favorite date night spots in Tuscaloosa. The baked feta is one of the best!!Pro tip - come during the week and not the weekend. And never, ever try to eat there during a football weekend!

Lunch was at DePalma's. I tried something different. The antipasti salad with grilled Atlantic salmon added. The salad comes with proscuitto, artichoke hearts, grape tomatoes, mushrooms, Mediterranean olives, and mozzarella on romaine lettuce. The salad is twelve dollars. Ten more with the salmon. I asked to leave the proscuitto off. I also asked about the creamy gorgonzola dressing and was promptly brought a sample to taste. Normally, I get the basalmic vinaigrette, which is out of this world. The creamy gorgonzola was epic. Unreal flavor combinations in this salad. Everything was fresh. The mozzarella, exactly right. A perfect meal.

This place is local go-to spot. It does not take reservations, so the wait can be long. It was a little noise but food was excellent.

The food was amazing! Being a country girl, I was not sure if I would like it, but it was beyond expectations! Our waitress was personable and helped us to navigate the expansive menu! The cafe is rather tight in space but would bring my family! The finale was the White chocolate bread pudding!! Delicious!

They do not take reservations here and it was packed on a Wednesday night. Place was pretty noisy as there was not much to deaden all of the conversation. To begin, I had the spinach salad and a glass of Sangiovese. Spinach, salad was fine and their gorgonzola dressing was good. Unfortunately, the wine was not good and it was also served in $.25 clunky wine glass. For dinner, I did the build your own pasta. I had some pappardelle pasta with marinara sauce, and also added meatballs and some sliced sausage. Some of the pasta was stuck together, the meatballs didn't have a lot of flavor and I would have preferred more sauce. Overall, average at best. Right spot was at the service was good.
Fantastic food, atmosphere, and service. This place is one of my favorite restaurants in Tuscaloosa! Great food and it’s consistently good. It’s one of my favorite all time Italian restaurants hands down! You have to get the bread pudding and the pasta Deplama is fantastic with sausage and artichokes. The atmosphere is very relaxing and quaint. If you’re stopping into Tuscaloosa for a game, you will be pleased!Parking: Depending on the time, parking can be challenging but there is a paid parking garage diagonally from Depalma’s. The food is worth finding a park!

Italian restaurant but very little Italian.. then to drink it is the only place that asks for a passport.. ridiculous.. perhaps it is better to change the name of the place or better yet at least the made in Italy..

We visited on a Sunday at noon, around 12:30, and were promptly seated. Our orders were placed shortly after being seated. However, the stuffed mushroom appetizer took more than half an hour to be prepared. The service felt slightly slow, likely due to the high volume of customers at that time. Nevertheless, the food was delicious, and we enjoyed our dining experience overall.

There was a long wait but it was worth it. We ordered a large pizza and a large salad to share. Both were delicious and we have pizza leftover.
