$3000 in the trash ***STAY AWAY! TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE AND LEADERSHIP***. READ THE REVIEWS THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT.***. I am a diamond elite member and have been staying IHG hotels exclusively for years, I will never give another dollar to and IHG affiliated hotel after this...This company stole $3000 from me. I cancelled a reservation 7 days after booking and 3 months before the stay on probably the busiest weekend Tuscaloosa would see all year. Would have no problems rebooking the room, the front desk supervisor GraCY (who will falsely identify herself as the office manager until you press her) told me it was non refundable, I asked to speak with her manager she said "I am the manager" I replied "do you not have a supervisor?" Finally she said she would have one of the General managers (Greg or Cassie) contact me. Never received a call or any communication from the hotel again, even after multiple phone calls and voicemails. I was just ignored.

This hotel, like so many others, is skimping on staff and basic services-- they need to raise their employees' pay high enough to staff the place instead of prioritizing the profits of their stockholders. The staff was very nice. But there is only so much a limited staff can do. They did have some daily house cleaning-- but it was hard to notice-- like the trash would be emptied but the bed was only made 1 out of 3 nights. They only have disposable cups in the room, so you have to drink your water and coffee out of soon-to-be-trash. I know this is the norm, but it is so wasteful. Would it really be that hard to provide actual glasses and mugs? And the TV only worked half of the time. Calling the front desk to ask about this resulted in zero surprise, just a "if you wait it'll come back eventually."Importantly-- the bed was pretty comfy, but the blankets were very thin. I wish I would have packed warm pajamas...It is a perfectly nice place. But don't expect much in terms of service or even basic amenities, like a functioning television. They could do much better.Walkability: Walkable to downtown and the river walk

Dog friendly!! Clean and safe feeling. Rooms welloutfitted and bed/pillows comfy and clean. Next to a lovely, clean riverfront walking area so if you have a dog or like to run/walk it’s perfect. They put us on the ground floor that was great for our older dog. Easy parking esp 5pm-8pm.

Always a great area. Enjoy the drag brunch they have for Druid City Pride and the rooms are very large and spacious with great updated amenities. Staff is always pleasant and helpful.

Fabulous hotel! Was there for a business trip and it couldn't have been better. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a delicious restaurant and rooftop bar! I'm excited to return again on my next visit.

Outstanding! The beds were so comfortable, plenty of fluffy pillows, clean room and friendly staff. Coffee always ready early in the morning. The surroundings are very quiet. No loud traffic noise. Close to some great restaurants and 5 minutes from U of A. Would definitely stay here again!

Not bad. Is a more contemporary hotel. No pool, inside or out. Location can be deceiving/hidden. Watch for the red light cameras. River walk is a nice touch, parking is available. Nice view and atmosphere.

Very rude staff. We booked a room through Hotel Tonight thinking that requesting two queen beds at check in would not be a problem. We were traveling with our two teenage sons and were assigned a room with one king bed. Even though we offered to pay more for two queen beds the staff including the manager refused to help us. We will never stay at another Hotel Indigo which is sad, because they are pet friendly.

We stayed here for the weekend during Bama A day festivities. We stayed in the adjacent building where are there are only 10 rooms, it was the nicest hotel room we’ve been in quite some time, not fancy, but well decorated, and maintained. We did visit the Lookout bar, it’s a cute space, but was completely empty. I think they need something to have people visit it. Perhaps drink specials or some thing that seems a missed opportunity. First floor restaurant was never busy again nice areas that should be better utilized. We would definitely stay there again.

Very posh and up to date. I attended college here a long time ago (Roll Tide). A lot has changed over the years and all of it for the better, the hotel is situated next to a river in a quiet corner of Tuscaloosa. The rooms are very nice and super clean for the price and the food is pretty good as well served down stairs. They can be a little slow but worth the wait. Would definitely stay here again. The parking is great as well for larger vehicles.

1-5 Ratings scale, 1 being poor, 5 being excellent based on a 2 week stay.Guest services: 2*hotel receptionists has no sense of 'customer first' strategy. Coffee is not available around the clock and my room was stocked with decaf. No complimentary water.Amenities: 3:Gym*adequate treadmill, dumbbell set, and cable machine. Small room, crowded for 2 or more people. No mirror in main weight training area.*nice rooftop/view for a drink.*no in-house laundry servicesCleanliness: 2*room floors looks dirty/dusty. I appreciate the frequent housekeeping but my floors and counters aren't being cleaned.Food services: 2*poor food, do not recommend. No sense of urgency from waitstaff.location: 5*walking distance to downtown and river walk. *Heritage Coffee, 9Round and BloGo Salon across the parking lot.

Went there for the new years glow night. Enjoyed a live band with great music. Had some amazing martinis. Sat out on the rooftop for a champagne toast to the new year. Also had a free breakfast buffet. This was my 3rd time at the hotel. Rooms are amazingly clean, great bar and even better location. Nxt to several

If I could give this hotel a -100000 review I would. We booked this hotel for my whole family coming from out of town months in advance. We realised we needed to cancel 2 of the rooms for 1 night so I called a month before and they said we booked through a 3rd party. I called the 3rd party they said we booked through and was told we did not. I then called hotel indigo and they said on the day we arrive to cancel them then. The two ladies at the front when we showed up treated us disrespectfully and showed no customer service at all. I would never recommend staying here. From all the calls i had to make and all of the rude attitudes i had to deal with over the phone and in person is ridiculous. If you don’t want to be nice don’t work in customer service.

This is one of the worst run IHG hotels we have ever stayed at!! We are diamond elite members so we KNOW how IHGs are generally run! When we came to check in at 4:30 we were given a room across the street in the far back corner! I asked for a room in the main building and was told they were sold out. When we got to our room I once again checked the app, then again at 6:30, 7:45, 9:45 and 11:05... each time there were three rooms left that were NOT in the building across the street and were eligible for our government rate... When asked, Gracie at the front desk told me she did not have other rooms and didn't care if I was unhappy! I am older and going out in 20 degree weather to acquire necessities in the "main hotel" is difficult. We chose this hotel because there was to be a restaurant and bar in the hotel. We were told the restaurant opened at 5 but were not told where it was. Nothing was mentioned about the bar!! We later found out that the restaurant and bar are apparently on some upper floor and the bar on the main floor that never opened was not where we needed to be... Gracie saw us looking and waiting and never bothered to ask if she could help or direct us to the proper place. Our room was obviously not clean, and they apparently store the old beds in the step child building across the way because we were very uncomfortable! The checkout was not any better than Gracie the night before! The morning desk attendant was put out that I wanted a receipt and didn't bother to ask how the stay was. No one acknowledged our tier level, there were no directions given, we were given a dirty look because we are military and used our rate (which I made sure WAS available when I found three rooms left). Turns out the step child building is a bottom floor of college student apartments. We got to listen to heavy foot steps from the apartment upstairs and loud cars with loud music racing through the parking lot all night. The staff and the room location completely ruined this for us! Do not stay here, there are several other choices in the immediate vicinity...
