My new favorite spot! Waffle House who!? lol Not only is the food delectable but the prices are great. Very prompt and delightful service from the sweet people they’ve got working there too. And I love the calm low lighting atmosphere. I don’t even feel like I’m in Tuscaloosa anymore lol it’s like a break from outside. A little Andy Griffin feel.

I’ve been here many times but today was my first bad experience. I wanted fried shrimp (maybe I should’ve gone to a fish restaurant) and ended up at Metro. Bad choice on my part. The shrimp is too salty to eat. Then there were 15 packets of ketchup in my bag but no cocktail sauce. Needless to say a waste of my money this trip. I’m very surprised at the quality of my meal, it’s not Metro I’m used to. I know not to come here for shrimp anymore.
Iron city meatloaf and strawberry bread Pudding were amazing! Got my food to go, so can't speak about the atmosphere.

Was greeted promptly and told to sit anywhere I’d like. My first choice was a booth but there was a dead fly on the table. The other tables for two looked like they had not been wiped down. I looked for a seat but couldn’t find one with a clean table so I left. I love Metro Diner and was excited to find one in Tuscaloosa while I was travelling but the cleanliness or I should say lack thereof was a huge turnoff.
