Just here for the veggies most days. Got the catfish today on a whim and from now on I’m dropping a veggie for this. My kids got shrimp, burgers and a grilled pimento cheese. Everything great. Nice and hot. 10-15 minutes for food. Nice waiter. We sat outside on the back porch. Nice breeze today. Great experience.Owner came by and checked on us. They’re opening for dinner very soon. We’re regulars on Saturday Brunch and they’ve starting serving MIMOSAS!!!! and drinks.

Not what it used to be after the ownership change. Food remains pretty good, but value isn't what it used to be. Service has suffered a setback as of late.If you plan to visit, plan to spend more time and money than you anticipate.

The food was not great today, used to be much better. Either a bad day in the kitchen or just a restaurant going downhill. Pork chops were overcooked, Mac and cheese tasteless.

We went out to celebrate a co-workers(7 ppl) retirement. We were seated, and we were served our drinks. We waited thirty minutes before our food came. The waiter started to bring some food OUT. The waiter then said, "Y'all like eating with your fingers, or you want a fork?" THE co-worker we were celebrating said a fork, and that's not funny." We were a table of professional black women. The joke was very poor taste and was not appreciated. We asked for utensils 4 more times, and he refused and said, "You will get them when I pass out all the food first." Mind you, we already waited 30 min. It was not busy. We asked for a manager. He said, "Yeah, the owner's not here, and I am next in line. You can call him, and I will make sure he knows how it went down." We had been nothing but respectful to him. It escalated after this. The other EMPLOYEE did not help. He simply said he didn't mean it like that. Our other co-worker was livid and demanded the owners information.I have eaten here before and the food was great and so WAS THE SERVICE. THIS NEW MANAGEMENT STINKS. THE RUDEST SERVER WE EVER ENCOUNTERED. I would have given 0 stars but the food was good. I gave one star for the food.

Another 1st. My husband is from Tuscaloosa,AL, and loves showing me his old haunts. This place was quite a surprise. It's in a strip mall, and from the outside, it looks like dive, not in a good way. Once u step inside, it is a whole other story. The floor plan is spacious and open. Plenty of tables for seating from 2 to 6 people. There is a bar set up and an open kitchen to watch ur food being prepared. The service can be hit or miss. It's a college town (Roll Tide), and u either have staff or u don't. This visit there was one server, and he was doing an amazing job. He was so busy, but he was really attentive and accommodating. The prices were great for what we got. I had a burger and I couldn't eat it all... so good, and so big. All in all, a great place for food, to meet friends, and yes, watch Alabama football

We had an exceptional dining experience at The Back Porch at T-Town Cafe last night! Our juicy steak burgers were customizable and cooked to perfection. We enjoyed every bite of the tender beef patties with our choice of toppings. Plus, we couldn't get enough of their crispy onion rings that complemented our burgers perfectly. Our server, Jacob, was fantastic! He was attentive and made fantastic recommendations. He encouraged us to try the sweet chili wings (they were perfect). The chef, Dustin, even stopped by to check to see how our food was. We felt really welcome and comfortable. If you’re looking for a new spot in town for dinner I would highly recommend this place! We plan on coming in for breakfast real soon!
