Just woke up after a night here. Definitely concerned about the alcohol content of the shots. I should have a headache and I feel great. Never really felt a buzz last night either. Maybe that's the business strategy? Keep em coming back. It is incredibly smoky as others have mentioned. But solid vibes. Folks are having a good time.

Is there less than one star?? My husband asked if they had a non alcoholic beer (zero beer) and the bartender asked if he'd like a soda water or Shirley Temple. I went postal!! NOT OK!!!

One of the classic bars in Tuscaloosa. From the pool table to karaoke on Wednesdays, Red Shed has the college bar atmosphere that is hard to beat. They’ll often have live music from local bands as well and they work with a lot of orgs for philanthropy events.

Our UA Grad worked here while attending UA. We enjoyed seeing where she worked, playing pool, and meeting her friends. They have karaoke on specified nights and live music on select dates.

Visiting in town, absolutely great bar. The bartenders were super nice, the bouncers were friendly and the band was great. Overall had a wonderful experience and I cannot wait to return.

The Red Shed is the best establishment in Tuscaloosa.... nay Alabama... nay the whole South. Michael the bouncer is the best person you will ever meet. The drinks are cheap and there's no cover ever. They book the best bands, especially Old South Band. You will start your night here casually playing a game of pool then somehow end up swing dancing until closing time when Michael has to politely ask you to leave. I love this place unconditionally and my best memories will forever be at The Red Shed. Roll Tide and long live Michael.

In Tuscaloosca for the evening. Visited the famous campus and the red shed, a semi famous hangout. Not much on the food selection, but drinks were fast and cheap, and the college crowd made this old man feel welcome.

Loved the shed before they normalized cover. I’m not going to pay to get in somewhere before there’s even a drink in my hand. You’ve lost your old clientele and sucked away some of Rounders’ customers. The vibes are definitely nowhere near what they used to be.EDIT: In response to the owner: that's fine and all, y'all are allowed to do whatever you want. However, reduced capacity didn't force others to start charging cover when they didn't previously. I'll continue to patronize bars that don't charge cover, if TRS happens to be that bar one night I may be there.

Cover is normally pretty high but they often have live music.

Went on game day and loved it!! It's a shame we are all old and missed the band later that evening. Great drinks and prices! Our new FAV place. My kind of place.
