We were going to be in the area for a tennis match, so we took the opportunity to visit a place we'd heard about and wanted to check out. So glad we did. First, the food. The dishes we got were delicious: Bourbon Waffle for my wife and Chicken and Waffle for me. I'm picky about wings, and these didn't disappoint, from the fry to the glaze. I enjoyed the waffles too, especially swiped through the wing glaze. [Next time, I'm going to ask for that on my waffles rather than syrup. You should too.] I got a bite of my wife's waffle and enjoyed it, but definitely thought I'd made the best choice for me. Second, the place. I'm a big fan of repurposing older buildings for new establishments, and of not losing the vibe of the original place. Kudos to the owners. Finally, the service. Apparently, for some folks it was slow; for me it was laid back. I was not I a hurry, so no big deal. But the woman who served us was extremely friendly and helpful, and even indulged my curious questions graciously. I don't get into that part of Alabama often, but next time I'm there, I'm going back to Superhero Chefs.

Truly sad that the place with the best food in Tuscumbia has the worst service. They were unprofessional, condescending and rude and when we tried to speak to management a girl with a dip and dots shirt wasn’t much help either.

The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is the poor service. The food was absolutely excellent. But don't expect timely or attentive service. We asked for another silverware twice because my grandson dropped his fork. It never came. We asked for hot sauce it never came. We asked for extra topping for my grandsons waffle. Never got it. We waited 20 minutes after we finished our meal for the check. We never got a single drink refill. Please go and enjoy the food because that part was awesome.Parking: Typical for small downtown
This was the first time we came here and was not disappointed. At first the menu had some different combinations but after receiving our food, we were amazed how the flavors complimented each other. Also, it a little bit of time to recieve our food but after tasting what we ordered then we completely understood why it took so long. You can actually taste the fresh made food and the time as well as care they took for each meal. Everything tasted like it was homemade and not poured out of a can. We will definitely go back and try some of their other menu items. Well worth the wait and it was very delicious! Our stomachs do not handle substandard ingredients and we know when a restaurant uses store bought canned/bottled cheap stuff, which this restaurant does not use according to our stomachs. Great food!
I normally don’t write reviews but the service received here was really terrible. We were sat at our table and then a table of 7 people came in after us and their orders were taken 15 minutes before the server even came to check on us. We had to stop the host walking by to get our drink orders and the server took about 20 minutes to come take our food order. We then sat for another 30 minutes and the other large parties around us received and finished their food and we still had not been checked on at all, so one of the people at our table went to try to find our server because she had not checked on us at all and there were two waitresses sitting on top of the bar in the other room on their phones. We then wait about 20 more minutes and finally receive our food. We were there for TWO HOURS!! The food was good but some of it was room temperature and I got my appetizer after my entree. We had to get our own to go boxes because nobody would check on us and as we were leaving all the tables around were disgusting and not cleaned at all while the waitresses sat on their phones. I used to love this place but I definitely won’t be back anytime soon.
