Let's get this bread! I stopped by Alabama Biscuit for the 1st time the other day. Alabama Biscuit has 2 locations, White Oak Dr in Cahaba Heights & Rocky Ridge Rd in Vestavia. I visited the Rocky Ridge location. They serve breakfast & lunch along with coffees, teas & fresh squeezed OJ. Alabama Biscuit's specialty is fresh baked biscuits made from stone-ground sprouted spelt flour & local dairy products. I ordered the Bacon du Jour featuring house apple butter, sliced local apple, conecuh bacon, farm egg, grass-fed cheddar, grain mustard & shaved fennel. The 1st thing I noticed was the lovely presentation. The saying, "you eat with your eyes first", is absolutely correct. It tasted as amazing as it looks..super interesting flavor profile with the saltiness of the conecuh bacon, sweetness from the apple & apple butter, sharpness of the cheddar, creaminess of the egg & mild anise flavor of the fennel. Together it created the perfect harmony for the palate. The grain mustard definitely enhanced it as well. The actual biscuit itself was also extraordinary. Nice & fluffy, but sturdy enough to hold up to all the ingredients. I was pretty impressed by Alabama Biscuit. Service was friendly & helpful. You order at the counter & your meal is brought to you. Relaxed atmosphere. When I posted this place on my story, a few of you reached out to me & recommended the Croque Madame, which I'll definitely have to try next time. I gave up caffeine long ago, but the coffee smelled amazing & I imagine it's excellent. Really glad this place isn't far from home. I'll definitely be back!

The chicken biscuit is excellent — one of the best I’ve had! The price fits the quality, but well worth it ?

After seeing some of the reviews on this place I decided to try it out. Not impressed at all! The customer service was amazing, but the food was mediocre in my opinion which is the point of being a Yelp Elite member, well part of it anyway. The chicken biscuit was just a piece of fried chicken on their warm, heavy biscuit. Not sure what the biscuits are made of but they aren't light a fluffy like a biscuit but they are dense and heavy like a scone. I am not a fan of store-bought things and biscuits are number one on that list, just don't do it!The ham and cheese also fell super short, I even asked the clerk "Is this lunch meat ham or is this cut-off-the-bone ham?" he assured me it wasn't lunch meat ham. Guess what? It's lunchmeat ham! My Americano was bitter and couldn't drink it so wasted 90% of this meal in the trash. I don't think I will return here. The bathrooms were really clean and they had plenty of seating in their dining room.

Great place for breakfast. Biscuits are fantastic. Coffee is decent. Would be nice to have almond milk as an option.

Excellent, quality food and coffee (best chicken biscuit in town) as well as very friendly/cool staff. You will be hard-pressed to find a better breakfast. Love this place!

Beyond excited about the Rocky Ridge location! Everything I've ordered so far has been delicious

It was "ok." My daughter and I each got a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit and an iced vanilla latte. $36! That's very steep for biscuits and lattes to me. The menu also didn't specify that the eggs on the biscuits come fried over easy with green onions on topped, so I wasn't exactly expecting that. Idk. It was underwhelming and I probably won't spend the money here again except maybe for the lattes.

I am so so excited that this location is open! The main reason for the excitement is because they have the BEST chicken biscuit ever! I get a plain chicken biscuit with honey on the side and an iced chai latte! 10/10! Also, the loaded sausage grit bowl is pretty delicious as well if you want something that will warm you up on a chilly day. The avocado toast is 10/10 as well... you know what? I haven't tried a single menu item that didn't make me jump for joy. Do yourself a favor and go. Just do it.

My family and I have been here quite a few times. We first discovered the Alabama Biscuit Co at Pitzitz Food Hall. We fell in LOVE with the a chicken biscuit! We are so happy to have the Rocky ridge location that offers this menu item! We always order it plain with honey on the side. Also, their avocado toast is pretty darn tasty too! 10/10 recommend.

This was the worst dining experience I can remember. The staff was Very Rude! The food was subpar. The biscuits were bland and overcooked. I would never go back simply based on the toxic staff but luckily I am missing nothing because everything we ordered sounded appetizing but was the complete opposite! Very disappointing to get a new restaurant and not be able to support them.
