Decided to give Troups a try after 2 days of googling brick oven pizza near me .. I'm impressed with the flavor of the Margherita Pizza 16 inch. Only con was my pizza wasn't hot after getting back to work but would definitely eat here again!

GF pizza is outstanding!! The owner assured us by answering our questions when we ordered. My daughter has celiac and reacts within 30 minutes if any food has gluten. She ate the pizza and no issues!

I have changed my "stars" to better reflect the "weight of the issue"Don't get me wrong I am still really mad. This is one of the things that really gets to me. I will probably not dine with you for a while.I do agree I did make it into a bigger error than it was. In the modern internet culture this is happening more and more. I am sure if we had been discussing this in-person it would have gone very differently. I could get feedback from you when I started my complaint and I would understand you are a restaurant of people not a faceless post on the internet. As I said I agree with you and apologize for my overreaction.I am glad that you called me out on it and I had a chance the change my rating. I am also glad that you have seen how important this issue is to at least customer.I am also a small business guy from a family of small business owners. Multiple businesses with different family members, not all in one business. On both sides and in many industries. It is hard without "corporate armor" of a large company. I should more sensitive to that.

Some of the bad restaurants in Maine I have visited should take a page from Troup's Pizza. I was in Alabama on business, and one of my friends frequents this establishment, so we had dinner here Friday night. It was busy (as one would expect on a Friday), but the service was fast and friendly, and the food was very good. Very family friendly with a very good vibe.Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly.

Love this place went there recently for lunch. Found it on the internet and decided to try it out. Me and my wife were visiting from out of town, great mom and pop restaurant with great food . If you’re in the area please check them out.

Mom and I decided to try Troup's after a recommendation from her physical therapist. She had a Dr's appt nearby and was hungry for pizza. Dr recommended also so how could we not try Troup's. We decided to try one of the specialty pizzas vice getting the norm. Old Cahawba was so good. The pepper rings gave it a nice tanginess. And the crust was perfect. Very close to the crusts I remember from my NY days. You can't beat a brick oven baked pizza. I was disappointed that they didn't have the draft root beer. However, the beignets were delicious and huge. Powder sugar everywhere when we got done. That's part of the fun! The restaurant is clean and roomy. The staff are very courteous and friendly. Glad it was Tuesday since they don't open till 4pm on Sunday and Monday. The restaurant wasn't very busy for in-house patrons, but take-out was booming. I definitely see another specialty pizza in my future. YUM!!!
Why on earth did it take us so long to visit this place?! This is probably the best pizza I've had in Birmingham. The crust was perfection. The hummus was also very good (a tad spicy) but the "pita" to dip in the hummus was amazing. We will be back as soon as we can!

This is one of my favorite mom and pop pizza places in town. Very relaxed atmosphere and good service. The people who run this place are nice. They did not berate any of the female customers for wearing short pants in their store.Kid-friendliness: Every time I'm there, I see a lot of families with their children there.

Been here a few times now and I always try and order something different. Each trip has been amazing- all the pizzas we've tried are so good! Wood fired pizzas are my favorite, and Troups's does it very well. Pizzas always come out hot and fresh and in a timely manner. Staff is very friendly and the inside is perfect for groups or someone with a small party! I'll keep dining here and proudly recommend to friends.

Our fave local restaurant with dedicated kitchen space for people with celiac disease and gluten intolerance that is family friendly. We have been several times and have had zero issues. They have "real pizza" here too which I'm sure is just as wonderful as the cauliflower crust we order. They always have salads, wings and other apps and seasonal soup. The wedge salad is my favorite. They have a large selection of beverages. Whether it's busy or not, the customer service is always top notch too. We always dine outside but there is also patio seating.
