Worse place I ever worked: The company doesn't respect the employee's, and your under paid... If you people only knew what those employee's go through in that sweat box factory... Being 120° degree's in the summer and expect you to work long and hard under those conditions

I love going to the bakery store here. Fresher bread than any store in town for any baked goods. Friendly customer service. Great prices! Saves me alot of money. As for the bad reviews about the point systems, that is pretty much everywhere. No company will keep a worker who is gone more than they work. Production jobs are fast-paced. If you are not a fast-paced worker then production work is not for you. Not everyone is cut out for it. I do not work here, but have worked many production jobs in the past. I love flowers bakery and am glad that they bring lots of jobs to this community. Alot of people are struggling to find and keep a job these days. Not to mention that this company does a lot of good things for this community like giving to those in need.

I worked at this bakery twice. When I left the first time I had no intention of ever going back because of the poor management, however I let a person of management that is still there now, which is unfortunate for the company because of his lack management skills, talk me into coming back. He told there were a lot of changes for the better which was false. The only thing that had changed were the faces. They advertise the sell and supply fresh baked bread and buns to the stores and public which is not true. I worked there almost 6 years the 2nd time, not by choice, by need for a job. They bake bread and buns daily and they run extra and falsify the dates and times on all the extra product produced on that day. While I was employed there the FDA came in to inspect and check that the bakery was in compliace however the FDA told the bakery when they were coming therefore the management time to have all the overstocked product with false dates and times of production loaded on to empty trailers and parked away from the bakery during the inspection. After the FDA agents would leave the management would have the loaded trailers put on the dock so the bread stored could be used. When you work at this bakery you are nothing more than a number and unless you are submissive and a person that has no morals of doing what is right you will not advance. The management talk to you in a demeaning and degrading mannor. The management run this bakery on a fear factor method always threatening to fire you. You get written up no matter the situation even if you do exactly what the leads or supervisors tell you to do. When this bakery was still Ideal, somebody had to die or retire before they would have an opening, now because of the poor management and extreme work conditions, they cannot keep help. Until the people that are in charge of this bakery are removed and replaced this bakery will never change. I would not recommend to anyone to work for or even buy any of the products this company produces. You would think the corperate office would see that there is some major issues with this plant and would want to try to correct the issues here because of the investment they made when they purchased this company.

They make your bread across the country. The general public loves it. However, the jobs are terrible. I worked in the shipping department for a year. Factory work that hurts your body. The Flowers bakery here in Batesville, is one of the lowest paid out of all their plants. The management is terrible. You are expected to overwork yourself and break your body down, as to meet quota or keep up with the machines. I have worked my 8 hour shifts, but was told at the end of it I was working a 12 hour shift. I would be unable to do see my own child's graduation, without getting "pointed" The "point" system for attendance is ludicrous. If you're late more than 15 minutes, then you half a "point". Leave early, even if sick? 1 point. Now mind you, 14 points is termination. One gets 2 points for missing a day, if you've "called in" the same day. It takes a YEAR for these points to get off your attendance record. That's 7 days you can miss in an ENTIRE year, including a day you might miss due to foul weather. Supervisors will not give you time off without pay Morale is terrible among the workforce, from new-hires to lifers. This is the one the worst places I have ever worked at, due to worker exploitation, pay, work environment (sweat shop work), and corporate culture.
