Parking: This is the best food I’ve eaten East of San Antonio! The servers were quick, attentive and friendly. We stopped here for convenience on a trip to visit family. This is a hidden treasure in Cave City, AR! We will make the 1 hour + trip again, but this time only for the experience.

El Palenque is a place you feel welcome when you walk in. The service was exceptional. The chips, rice & beans & bean enchilada I ordered were tasty. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the tamale was overcooked and somewhat dry & burned on the ends. I enjoyed the white cheese sauce poured over the enchilada. The half sweet, half unsweet tea was perfect. The Flan dessert was excellent, not overly sweet, but light & caramelized. Yum!

The best of all the El Palenques. The Meca. Cave city doesn't have authentic Mexican food. The best I've found for authentic Mexican is probably a food truck in Jonesboro. If you are okay with this style of food and you like a quick, hot meal, with friendly service then this is a great option in Cave City. (There aren't many)

Came on here after I saw a Facebook post of pictures with mold in the food. The customer wasted $40 and was told they wouldn’t be getting a refund. Stay away from this joke of a restaurant.
