The loco moco is just magnificent. They also have good sushi, soup, and bento boxes. The atmosphere is also very nice and classy.My only complaints are that the appetizers sometimes don't arrive until the meal does, and some items are pretty overpriced. Prime example of both of those are the Umami Nachos, which are $14. We received a plate of about 10 chips with some pieces of meat, shredded cheese and banana peppers haphazardly tossed across them.I really wish I could give 5 stars for the loco moco alone, but the nachos situation soured my experience.

I absolutely Love this place... I crave their yumyum roll and have to take a 45 min drive to get there, but Soooo Worth it. Awesome atmosphere and service is always nice and quick to get whatever u need.... Highly recommend!!! Great place for a date & bday
What has happened to Umami. When it first open they walked on water their food and service was so excellent. The last few times has not been so good. And don't even mention getting takeout. The takeout food is inedible. tonight I was there when they open at 5 PM and order the sushi dinner D - three spicy rolls. When my food arrived the fish and each roll was chewy. I complain to the chef and he sent out a message that the fish are supposed to be truly because I requested the rolLE to be spicy. I always get spicy rolls and the fish has never been through it. I came home and googled it and what have I learned? It said you should never eat chewy sushi fish. I feel like I owe me my money back and an apology. I hope I don't get sick from old fish. I think this was my last trip to Umami.

I’m Writing this Review in hopes that The Company sees this and understands that I Love the Food, Service, and overall experience but with that said I was Charged $14 a Beer for Sapporo Beer that I can get at Walmart for $2.50 and even worse was told by the Waiter that the owner Travels to Dallas allot and since the Dallas Market gets those types of prices then he should here! This is Absolutely Rediculous and unacceptable to me. I refuse to give my Hard earned Money to a Company that Jacks it’s prices sky High just to try and compare themselves to some other Rip off Gouging Market! ?? I will not be back

Website starkly different then actual meal. Tuna sashimi was a total fraud it was thawed tuna steaks chewy and extremely fishy. The filet and shrimp plate had excellent flavor but came to the table cold with the exception of the rice. The razorback roll was far to large to eat without making a mess knife and fork required. The Wonder Woman roll was unique and the miso soup was very good along with the garlic edamame. Service was good also. We give 1 star and might go back for the soup, edamame and the filet/shrimp plate. But we will for sure be sitting at the teppanyaki table for that so it's served hot.

Went to umamis for lunch. Got the udon and the dragon roll. Food was great! Service phenomal, our waiter Ares was super great and quick! 5 stars to them specifically!! Ask for them and tip them well!!

Great server wish I could remember his name, and we felt bad about showing up to meet our party but luckily they had space for us.Food was great, and we had enough portions for a whole other meal to take home with us.Only wish our party had asked for a table because we had an elderly person struggling to get in and out of those circle booths, so watch out for asking for table/booth when you need it.Vegetarian options: You can substitute most meats for tofu, I'm vegetarian/pescatarian and I had plenty of options to choose from.Parking: It was a decently sized parking lot, I wouldn't bet on it not being filled thought for lunch/dinner rush or on weekends. We had a late lunch in the middle of the week so it was fine.Kid-friendliness: We got a booth and kids were fine, server was super accommodating about them, and getting us extra plates/silverware for them.
