We went here today for lunch because we were in the area. I had heard about it but didn't want to make the drive (from El Dorado) just for that. Well. Let me just say that I will certainly make the drive just for that again.The food was excellent and the staff were amazing. Super friendly and attentive. Enjoyed a very delicious lunch today in Norphlet, Arkansas at Cafe 1891.Such a quaint and friendly cafe.Everyone greeted us with big smiles and welcomed us very much to the cafe.Me and my wife enjoyed our lunch tremendously. We will definitely go back again.I had thechicken strip platterand she hadthe chef salad.Everything was prepared fresh and hot.Hopefully next time I'll get one of their signature shakes. As some have stated, some menu items weren't available, but that's not a problem. Hamburger steak was great, good char on the onions and mushrooms, food very well seasoned but not too spicy, it was just right! Lots of side dish options.Husband had the fried fish and shrimp and said it was very good. Food was freshly made and ready quicker than I expected. Definitely worth the short detour if you're anywhere near Junction. Don't settle for fast food, eat here and get good food fast.

Good all around diner menu. Hamburger steak, brown gravy, grilled mushrooms and onions, fries, and fried squash all cooked well and seasoned well. No bland food, but not too much seasoning either, just right!

Literally every single time i have been there over the last year and a half they dont seem to have whatever i may want so i have to settle for something different. The last time we got food for pickup (last week) all the burgers seemed as though they were cooked for lunch, left sitting around for the next 6 hours, and then halfway warmed up . The fries were the exact same way. Sat cooked all day, dropped in the oil for second or third time over 6 hrs, and covered with WAY to much salt. Completely non eatable. $80 wasted. For some reason dined in since then (two days ago) and didnt have sweet tea made, had to order soda. Ordered cheeseburger no mayo and fries. Fries were cold and burger was plain and dry. Asked server for the components that were missing (lettuce, tomato, ect). She comes back 5 minutes later and asked what it was that i was needing again so i just said nevermind. $45 waisted. While in there a lady comes in with cell phone in hand and asked if they remembered she was still on hold. They didnt. She had called due to half her to go order missing when she had got home. I for one will not let them steal another dime from me and implore anyone to think twice before going there.

Had the fried catfish po’boy, and it. Was. FHI.. This was about a year ago. I sure hope the same Cook/Chef is there because I am OMW to get another 1. Hahaha! Oh and the staff was very kind and attentive, the decor reminded me of of something out of Grease, very cute made me wanna put on a poodle skirt and do the bunny hop. It’s quiet and ducked off, but if you’re in the area, it’s worth the drive! Sorry I don’t have any photos to share, but that sammich and those crispy fries have since digested!
