Our favorite place to stay in Eureka Springs! My husband and I have traveled many times to Eureka Springs, Arkansas in the past 40 years. Our current favorite place to stay is Twilight Terrace. It’s within walking distance of downtown, but secluded. It has the best shower of any accommodation we’ve ever stayed. Nicely decorated. Balcony overlooking the woods. Comfy bed, a gas fireplace, big thick towels and a kitchen stocked with simple items to make our stay more pleasant. Our needs and wants of what we are looking for in lodging have changed through the years, and we’ve found this to be a great place to relax!

We could not have asked for a lovelier place to hold my daughter and son-in-law's reception - just minutes from Thorncrown Chapel where the ceremony took place - Upstairs offers a private space with the perfect ambiance to fit events of a variety of sizes and styles. But the most spectacular part of our event was the stellar service and beyond believable fare. Ryan was our host for the evening and played a pivotal role in not only helping to plan our menu and wine list but making sure every element of the night was spot on. His "Zen-like" attitude and flair for anticipating and exceeding expectations is uncanny. And the fact the food and wine were exquisite. Every guest commented that the sirloin steak was one of the best they have ever tasted, the salmon was to die for, and the pork chop was so tender and flavorful. And don't get me started on the delicious asparagus or baked potatoes that were the size of a small football! Yum!! And the apps! Oh, the apps. I'm ready to go back again!! Thank you, Ryan! We booked one of the two apartments (not sure what to call it) through Air BnB, and we were so pleased with everything. It is decorated to perfection, comfortable, stocked with care, clean and great location. The property manager is great and provides details regarding parking, and ensured we had everything we needed. This was our 3rd time to ES and the best place we have stayed. We will definitely stay again. Word of warning, there are stairs because it is actually under the street level. In addition, we had somebody watching us load our car who also checked our car doors while we were packing back up to leave. The person was looking to steal so stay aware. Other than that, I felt completely safe, even at night.

We had our rehearsal dinner for our son’s wedding here at the Grotto’s Upstairs area. To work with Ryan on a fabulous menu & drink menu was a breath of fresh air! The food- Phenomenal!! The Grotto is our go to place every time we are visiting Eureka Springs!!

It was such an awesome experience the food was delicious, the staff was amazing and nice, I would definitely recommend for a nice dinner and if you’re looking for a great place to host your reception or event!! Ryan was so nice. Just such a wonderful experience. Plus all of our guest loved the food, staff, and atmosphere!!

My husband was invited to play music here in April and we were treated so great, I wish we lived closer because Upstairs at Grotto would definitely be a frequent stop! The staff were all very knowledgeable about their drink and food selection and they took very good care of me while my husband played! The food was fabulous, a nice variety and flavors were robust and savory! Overall great, great, great experience! Love this place and the staff!!

My husband and I had our reception here in September. We were amazed with how awesome Ryan was with tending to our needs! We had so much fun (maybe a little too much)! The place was beautiful and we are still getting compliments on how great the food was! I would recommend the Grotto and the staff over and over again. I am so thankful for them making my wedding a breeze and so beautiful.

Absolutely a fail! Sat at the table for 1 hour waiting for our food only to be told they were out of rib eye steaks. The entire time we were there it was one fiasco after another. Sorry Upstairs Grotto I don't usually do reviews but you need to do better!

80s Zombie Crawl Party- We has been looking forward to this party. The music was 80s and fun. The problem was the beer- both the choices and cost. No mainstream beer like Bud or Bud Light. A can (that was nasty tasting) was $3 and a bottle was $6.50 each. They tried to up sell up $40 for a table. We arrived early enough that we sat near the dance floor but I am wondering what our $15 each was for if not for a table and chair. There were no games, contest or party favors. This event was Sold Out but next year, someone else can have our tickets.

So delicious that last night we decided to drive an hour from home to eat there on a rare date night. There were no reservations available, but we were told there was a spot available Upstairs -- same menu, plus a live cellist.
