Such a cute little diner! The staff was so great! The amount of food you get is insane for the price. I was barely able to finish my meal! I got the Doug's Breakfast Sandwich and it was so yummy! Everything was PERFECTLY cooked! I can't wait to come back!

A small brunch hotspot in Downtown Fort Wayne run by a small team of hospitality professionals. All menu items are reasonably priced and are large enough to share with 2-3 people. The burritos are huge and filling. Each one comes with freshly prepared red and green salsas. Since it was my first time, they let me sample their queso with my burrito. I ordered the breakfast burrito that came with five eggs, chorizo, and cheddar cheese that was accompanied with tater tots.

This was my first time going to 5th Street Cafe and their food is delicious! I would defiantly come back and try some of their other menu items. Their breakfast burritos are HUGE but they are very good!

I am only giving them a three because the waitress was amazing. The water tastes like it came out of the sink. The food was meh. My son found a hair in his eggs. At that point I look to see who was cooking and saw that her hair was all over her head like a peacock style. When I brought that to the attention of the lady up front, she said the health department only requires you to pull your hair back and I let her know her hair is not pulled back it's all over in the air going in every direction. Then she said well none of us even have black hair and that just looked like a straight slither. So I pointed out the people in the kitchen that did have black hair and then told her don't even remake the food because we don't want it. She had a nasty attitude and did not apologize even once. The waitress did however apologize and she was amazing. I will never dine in here again.Since comments are turned off and I cannot respond to her:No ma'am. It reads: "So I pointed out the people in the kitchen that did have black hair and then told her don't even remake the food because we don't want it." Also the manager's response to me just proved my point about her bad attitude. "You are the owner working in the kitchen with one other person!" is what you respond. So who was the man with a baseball cap and black straight hair standing over the food? Also the blonde had black roots. I know hair when I see hair and you are really arguing with me about a piece of hair on the plate. I didn't ask for a discount or my money back, only to not have hair in my food.

Server She did not say her name. disappointing! Ambiance It's a corner Cafe, located on the corner of 5th and busy garrison Ave in downtown Fort smith. When we visited, it wasn't exceptionally busy. Food Coffee was promptly delivered to our table. It arrived hot and tasted pretty good. The ham n cheese omlet arrived fresh and hot. They were out of chalula hot sauce. Lol. The omlet was okay. Quite greasy. The potatoes were cubed and tasted deep fried. Not a bad thing. Just an observation. The combined tastes were pretty good. The Denver omlet was very good. Overall The 5th street diner met expectations. The food is good but served with huge portions. The wait staff were pleasant without being intrusive. Military Yes with ID.

A quaint little diner/cafe on the corner of 5th St and Garrison. The first time I ate there I had the philly cheese steak and fries. The philly is actually made with pot roast which I didn't expect, but it was really good. The meat was stacked on heavy and I wish I would've paid extra for the veggies. The fries were crinkle cut and lightly seasoned. The second time I stopped by I got the Western burger with fries. All of their burgers are made with black Angus beef and quite delicious. This one had onion rings and was topped with bbq sauce. It was a great combination. The atmosphere is quiet and not too busy, and the environment is what you would expect, simple. I enjoyed sitting at the bar seating in front of the large storefront window and watching the flow of traffic go bye. And the wait staff is friendly and casual.Edit: also had the chicken and waffles recently and it was delicious!

Unbelievable worth the drive. Parking is tricky. it's in the back and feels like you are parking in the wrong place. You are not! But tip well because the food is perfect and the staff is friendly.
