My husband and I really enjoyed all the food here. The Queso Nayarita and the 7 mares was bomb.com not only was the food delicious but the waiter Javier played a big part of us having a great 1st time experience. We left happy, and will definitely be back!

Very disappointed. Oysters were bad but got charged anyway. Ordered something else took an hour and not what I ordered. Service is non existent. Cashier was rude. Definitely dint recommend.

Tried this place for the first time, and I enjoyed it! Not sure what the seafood dish was called but it was spicy and full of flavor. The oyster ceviche was good but a little too lunch for me. I will be back!

This place is great! The lady that greeted us as we walked in was very courteous and nice, she told us what food specials they had, sat us and took our order! The food portions are enormous! The food is delicious! And their salsa is very good. They even won first place in the tamale competition!!!!

Mexican coastal food abounds ay El Nayarita. Their menu boasts more seafood options than I have ever seen at a Mexican restaurant. My daughter, granddaughter and I arrived early on a Saturday morning. We looked at the menu which offers many options of starters, soups, and main courses. We started with ordering sweet and unsweetened tea. It wasn't quite ready yet and when we were served we all got sweet tea. It was not super sweet and delicious, so we all drank it without complaint. We really enjoyed the fresh chips and salsas, one mild and the other quite hot and smoky. I ordered a torta with carnitas, but the carnitas wasn't ready so I chose the chicken torta. My daughter ordered the carne asada plate which came with beans, rice and flour tortillas. My granddaughter got her normal meal, chicken fajitas. All the food was really enjoyed. My sandwich had a little more lettuce shreds than I like, but that was the only problem. The carne asada was tasted by all and pronounced best ever. The fajitas also got a gold star for flavor, vegetables and proper sauté. We decided that we would definitely go back again and again. My daughter and her kids want to try some of the fish next trip. I'm sadly allergic to fish, so they restrained from eating in front of me this time. Next time we will plan to be there a little later than opening to be sure all the food is ready. (Carnitas do take a long, long time to cook.) One more thing, as mentioned in other reviews, the outside looks kind of bad and the decor isn't the best. Just go in and enjoy the food and you'll forget all that.

Okay El Nayarita, a new authentic Mexican restaurant in the north side of Fort Smith, is a place u need to visit. I will go ahead and let u know that from the outside the place doesn't look that great and the inside is very small and oldish. Very few tables inside, about 4 benched tables, two in either side. In the middle u have a few regular tables. If u can get past the guy the place looks, then I promise u, u will taste some of the best Mexican food that Fort Smith has to offer. We got there at around 6:30pm on a Saturday night and found a table right away. We got chips and salsa, they are complimentary. The salsa was really good, they had a mild one and the super hot one. We got the menus, and I decided to get the Tostada with ceviche of shrimp and octopus. My goodness the tostada was really good, it had enough lime flavor but without it being too strong. The shrimp and octopus was fresh and tasty. I also order tacos, a chorizo, beef tongue, beef cheek, beef head and carne asada taco. All five tacos were the bomb, the meat was tender and exquisite. The tortillas are handmade, and u can really tell that the meat is fresh as well. My dad had the carne asada plate with shrimp, he loved it. Also, their plates are pretty big, you will leave satisfied for sure. To finish, give this place a try, I know that it might seem daunting from the outside but the food is out of this world. Go and get yourself some Nayaritas!!

I just saved myself a trip to Mexico. Hole-in-the-wall joint with food from the gulf coast of Mexico. Great prices. Beautiful fresh seafood. Even the chips were fresh. I'll be back tomorrow.
