I would actually rate it a 3.5, but that option doesn’t exist. Anyhoo, we had guests visit from out of town and decided to take them to Taliano’s to “show off” Fort Smith. The portions were embarrassingly small, especially for the price. One expects healthy portions in an Italian restaurant. Our food was good — there just wasn’t enough of it. Also, if you have a larger group, just be aware that you’ll likely be seated outside of the main dining area in a section that is nowhere near as cozy and quaint.

Original Italian with the old school take-home marinara and gravies made in the traditional old world way.

Taliano's is not a restaurant, it's a tradition. We look forward to our special occasion dinners. Expect to spend over $100 for 2, including your generous tip, for a relaxing meal among friends.I enjoy their pasta smothered in mushrooms with Maranara sauce.Parking: You may have to walk some distance from your car to the front door, which is moderately concerning at night.

A Disappointing Culinary ExperienceI had high hopes for a special New Year's celebration with my wife at this restaurant, having reserved a table a month in advance. While the staff was pleasant, the overall dining experience left much to be desired, prompting me to share this review after taking a week to reflect.Regrettably, the food fell short of expectations. The spinach dip, seemingly reheated from frozen ingredients, lacked any discernible flavor. The ravioli soup tasted like a basic combination of water and salt, and the salad wasn't even noteworthy. The main courses were the real letdown. The special salmon I ordered was practically inedible, and my wife's steak was overly salty, to the point of being overpowering. As someone with a background in coastal cuisine and experience dining across various cities, I can confidently say that the food here did not meet even basic standards. It was a culinary disappointment, and not a good choice for our night, we didn’t want to express it in the moment in consideration of the person that was serving us.However, it's essential to address the stark disparity between the high cost (oround $100) and the subpar quality of the dishes. The restaurant should consider a serious overhaul of their menu and culinary practices to match the standards they seemingly aspire to uphold. This review serves a dual purpose: to warn potential diners about the lackluster culinary experience and to implore the restaurant to elevate its food quality if it intends to maintain any semblance of the standards it appears to strive for.

Food was terrible, the absolute worst Italian I’ve ever experienced.- Steak special, you can get drunk off the amount of brandy used. Didn’t burn off the alcohol. Disgusting flavor. Mushrooms were not sweated or cooked, seemed thrown in at the end. Steak was poor quality and not cooked to requested temp. Disappointed for a $50 steak. Couldn’t eat it.- Fettuccine Alfredo was swimming in a grainy sauce. Tasted like straight cheese. Like cheese soup with some noodles. Olive Garden is better than this Alfredo, which is really sad.- Salad’s Italian dressing came to the table completely separated. All the oil was in the bottom of the bowl. First bit was straight vinegar. Tomatoes were fresh and good though.- Lasagna was not lasagna here. It was a single layer bowl thrown in an oven. Grease covered the top. Lasagna is layers of deliciousness, not two noodles in a bowl like a soup.Service was okay, not great. They were busy with large groups so understandable.Host was awesome.Atmosphere is great. If you go, you’re going for the environment and not the food. Personally never going back.

Intimate atmosphere with great service and a delicious menu. Came in on a Thursday evening and was able to get a same-day reservation for a small party, but all the tables were full at peak times so you’ll probably need to call ahead!Parking: Easy parking, small lot on the side of the building leads to a larger lot behind with plenty of parking.

I tried the chicken Florentine and it was good, my aunt had the spinach ravioli and said it was good. The other 4 of us ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and we all took a couple bites and didn’t finish it. It was very bland and a little sticky. We had 2 cranky toddlers and they tolerated them well!

My new favorite restaurant in town. Hands down the best pasta dish ...maybe EVER, but certainly from a restaurant. The only part of the meal that was disappointing was the bread /oil served with the meal. The bread was decent but the oil was a bit stale. Otherwise though, this was the most amazingly delicious romantic date night meal. I mean the restaurant itself is so freaking adorable. We came in an hour before close and had the place to ourselves. Our server was phenomenal and kept us happy and well informed on all our choices She didn't even give us an attitude for sharing the entree (they brought it out in two dishes for us!), or not ordering drinks. The house made ranch dressing was so good. The fried raviolis were outstanding. The ricotta cheesecake was everything. ?✨ Cannot wait to go back again.

I travel all over north America for work. A good dinner restaurant is what I look forward to when I am on my work trips. I was in Fort Smith all of last week. After working a long hard day a coworker and myself were looking forward to dinner at Talianos.I hate to leave a bad review unfortunately the staff/management was very rude during my last visit to Talianos. We arrived at 8:26pm, walked inside and waited to be seated. After a few minutes a worker ask if he could help us. We mentioned we would like to be seated. He said I will have to check we might be closed. After a few more minutes a manager walked out. We said we have been looking forward to eating here all week, already know what we want to eat, and we will be in and out. During this time we noticed food still being served to customers and other customers had not yet had dinner. The Manager said the owners don't want them serving people after 8:30pm. I said online it says you close at 9pm. The manager said I know but we already closed the kitchen. "As we can see food still being served from the kitchen". I made the comment well if you close at 8:30, 8:30pm is what you should advertise online. She said well its 8:35 right now, It was only 8:35 because it took 6 to 7 minutes before anyone even talked to us when walking in.The worst part of the whole thing was the manager opened the door when we walked out then proceeded to SLAM the door behind us. which was verry unprofessional. I hope they find new management. Because in the past we had enjoyed this restaurant.
