The food is outstanding. The only issue was the time it took to get drinks, place our order and especially waiting for the receipt. It was very busy, but only had two servers. If there was just one more, It most likely would have helped. But the two that were there, worked their bum off. A very good place to eat.
Went with the after church crowd for Sunday at lunch. I know they get slammed so things took a while to get out but that’s OK. The food was good. Typical mom and Pop diner type stuff. We had a standard cheeseburger plus a Hiawassee burger, and some fried okra. we enjoyed our meal.We had service with a smile, which always helps!

My family and I visit the Hiwassee Diner at least once a week over the last several months, its become are pre or post church services routine. We have been consistently presented great meals, from: open faced roast beef sandwich, burgers, and prime rib.
