I ate breakfast here and had a perfectly cooked omelet, hashbrown, and ryetoast. Service was great, and food came out hot and plated well. Whoever manages the website for the menu portion needs an update on prices. The prices show from 2 years ago.

Went here day after the Solar Eclipse to meet a friend from high school I haven't seen in 9 years who drove from near Orlando, and I came from near Atlanta. There were many choices on the menu and I chose the Soup, Salad, and Breadsticks. One reason is the Soup of the Day intrigued me: Reuben Soup. The salad was very ample and got just one, but got 2 bowls of the soup. It tasted just like a Reuben without the bread in a thick cheese base with ample meat and 'kraut. One of the best soups I've had.

The service is awful, waited a while, 12 minutes before I was even acknowledged.

Had lunch here the first part of April 2024, I believe on a Wednesday. Daily special was chicken spaghetti, roll and side salad. I wanted chicken fried steak but thought just do the daily special. My wife had the grilled chicken salad. When the Chicken spaghetti was delivered to me I honestly thought they brought me the wrong meal. It looked like a runny pot pie on a plate! It had the ingredients of a pot pie and very little spaghetti. Maybe that is how they make it. Dinner roll was dry and tasteless.I powered through the meal but did not finish it. That’s rare unless I just don’t like the item, such as liver. I eat my food even if it’s not the most palatable. But I couldn’t on this. My side salad was the best part of the meal.Wife’s salad was okay she said. This place changed owners last year, I saw the clipping on the wall. I used to enjoy the place and never had a meal like this. Maybe this was a one off but I am not sure I will go back.

My meal sounded good but disappointed. Just a frozen fish fillet. Tartar sauce was good. House chips were over fried. Have had better. No Pepsi but the water was good. Bakery looked tempting so I bought two for the road. Looking forward to that later. I will say the place seems popular and I’m glad for the business sake. The hostess and staff were very friendly. My wife enjoyed very much her Monterrey chicken salad.Vegetarian options: Our company chose a three or four side dish plate. Either available. She enjoyed it.Parking: I’m handicapped but none were available. Parked close by and had no difficulty.

I didn't realize I could eat that much... Really amazing food and nice calm atmosphere. I got the chicken fried chicken with bbq beans and fried okra. What a place to find out by the crystal mines!

Visited from Texas and this was absolutely worth a stop. Tasty bakery with a wide assortment of treats and delicious home style cooking. Hearty portions and left very full and satisfied. Feeling fat and happy! Friendly staff and very clean, too.

Stumbled on this gem while going to the Blakely Dam April 2024. We ate their twice and planning a 3rd before we leave Hot Springs. Worth driving from Hot Springs for this cafe for sure!!Whoever is cooking in the back is making some pretty awesome food! Portions are big and the staff is very nice. Highly recommend!! Be sure to leave room for the bakery desserts ♥️Kid-friendliness: Family environment.

We had lunch here after digging for crystals. They were busy but accommodated our party of 6 without an issue. The menu was expansive, the service was friendly, and the food was delicious.

Wonderful place to dine. Had the rib eye, best in ages. The new bakery section is something out of a magazine. I had several items to go, and the Italian cream cake was deliciously perfect.

I've been three times in the last month. The place is gorgeous, and I love the baseball theme. The servers are amazing. But there is no way around the fact that the wait times for food are far too long (2 out of three times and the third was already-made bbq), and the food is spotty. When I ordered chicken and waffles, the waffles were transcendent (though the server said they are prepackaged, premade) and the chicken was left in the flyer too long, becoming dark and overly crunchy. When I got BBQ, the ribs were splendid, but the pulled pork wasn't smoky at all and was actually watery?? and the brisket tasted like preserved jerky. When I ordered catfish. It came really late and in two servings because they got the order wrong, after first having to recook it. The fish was very nice, the BBQ beans perfection, but the rolls at this restaurant taste like a bowl of yeast left in the sun to go bad. They are dry-- not even as good as frozen--and taste like an bath towel that needs washing. The bake shop is fantastic! I'm going to keep coming, and I love the theme nights they have (French! BBQ! Southern faves!) But I'm disappointed that you can never predict if the food will be good, because that just doesn't cut it. Their battered, fried stuff is too bland in seasoning. I want to love this place, but it needs to earn my love with something other than its baked beans and pie. The menu is too big, I think. They need to do fewer things so they can do more of them well.
