Great sandwiches for lunchtime and the best cakes! My favorites are the carrot cake and Italian cream.

I ordered a cake for my daughter’s second birthday and they did not disappoint! I got the strawberry flavor. Not only was the cake moist and delicious, they also hit it spot on with the reference picture I sent. Even better, actually. I’ll post pictures below!

I have ordered many specialty cakes from here before. Always loved them. Perfect in every way. Always went above and beyond on decorating. This time, cake was dry, service wasn't pleasant. I had to supply all my own decorations, then when they couldn't use the main one i wanted on cake, they didn't even call me! Ordered cake plenty ahead of time for them to figure this out. So upset! Just read where you just putchased Ambrosia's in October! No wonder I didn't get same service. I won't be back! Cakes not as good as original owners and decorating not at previous standards. Sorry but the truth hurts!

Christian greeted us and was out of this world friendly and accommodating. Sandwiches are served until 3:00p and we came in at 3:04p and he still served us! He even offered us an Italian cake cookie on the house and it was scrumptious! Would definitely recommend and a nice stop for lunch if you do the Historic Baseball Trail! Located right behind the Transportation Depot. The exposed brick and cute table and chairs offer a cool and cute atmosphere to sit down and refuel. And if you sit at the window, you’ll get a great view of the military tank outside! So glad we found this tucked away gem on our 1st trip to Hot Springs!

Wanted to come here for the freshly made bagels, but we got there shortly after opening and they were sold out. Pretty disappointed, but not their fault I suppose. What we did get was pretty good.

Oohhh! The intoxicating of aromas before we even opened the door of this quaint yet plentiful little bakery that reeked of southern charm! Ambrosia is aptly named "the food of the gods!" We had stopped in for a late brunch, shared a couple of exciting breakfast turnovers, a delightful pastry called "green eggs and ham", and several scrumptious little sausage pinwheels. Yum! The cakes, cookies and abundant sweet treats were beautiful to behold--we had a difficult time choosing between them--and still can't decide whether the carrot cake, chocolate macaroons or the decadent Italian cake were our favorites! We were lucky enough to meet the owners before we left, needing to compliment them on the bakery, their offerings, and courteous, friendly staff. They are delightful, and should be ever so proud of their hard work! We were able to drop in for another quick visit, this time for the most delicious flatbread, brownies and cookies to go. Again, we were not disappointed, and would most definitely be regulars if we lived in the area! Hmmm...May be worth a move from Virginia .

Best cinnamon twists. Real pastry, which is hard to find in this state.

My husband wanted a birthday cake from Ambrosia. I ordered an 8" two layer round cake. I picked it up today. The employee went in the back and asked a couple of times what kind of cake I ordered and the name on the order. I started thinking that they didn't even have my order. He finally found it in the refrigerator behind the register, but it wasn't the cake I ordered. Instead it was a 12" one layer cake. Another employee told me that whoever made it "read the ticket wrong". They could make another cake, but I'd have to come back to get it. I told them that I didn't want to come back and I would just take the one that was already made. The cake was $37! I got home and took the cake out and it had a dark hair on top of the icing (I have blonde hair, so it wasn't mine.). We ate a couple of pieces of cake anyway. It was just okay. I'm not even sure that the cake was fresh when I picked it up because it wasn't moist at all. Definitely not worth the money. We will stick to Walmart cakes in the future. They are better and half the price.
