I really wanted to like this place… I haven’t found a lot of cafeteria style places in this area and I always love the nostalgia of it. I was happy to try new fried okra and chicken fried steak but both of them were overdone and disappointing. The cornbread was so dry, very crumbly that you could not even put butter on it without it just breaking apart and not in a good way. The cabbage was the best thing that I had and stewed cabbage is very hard to mess up! Even the sweet tea ran out before I filled my 1st cup and then I was told there was more in the other one as she pointed to the Unsweet tea.None of this was as disappointing as the conversation that I listened to while consuming this food between what appears to be the older white male owner and his crew of Hispanic women. The way this man was speaking to them was absolutely racist… I mean… the way that he was speaking to them about one woman being the star and princess of the English class, and the rest of them needed to be taking notes from her on how to “have their English better” and what they needed to do was so disgusting. It was awkward, you could tell he was trying to make jokes and there was enough of the language barrier that the women weren’t fully understanding the colloquialism that he was using and then he would continue digging at it until somebody translated it into Spanish and she made enough of a fake laugh to appease him and then he continued back with how they needed to take more classes.Just a really disappointing experience and probably good 2 to 3 dollars over what the price point should be.

This was the first time to go to Bobby's but it won't be the last. It is a throwback to school cafeteria: grab a tray, utensils, drink and then try to decide what you want. It was very busy so I made my decision quickly of fried chickens legs, mashed potatoes/white gravy, fried okra and cornbread. OMG, way more than I could eat but oh so good. It's not a fancy place by no means but we were perfectly happy to sit at a table with plastic tablecloth. They have an assortment of pies but there was no way I could eat pie after my meal. The raspberry lemonade icebox pie seemed to be the favorite of the day. Definitely worth checking this place out!

My sis and I dined here for lunch. It is a throw back to old buffets of the past. The food was delicious. Delicious. Staff was friendly. Around noon it's packed and there's good reason. If you crave dishes your grandma used to make, go here and experience the flavors and let the memories of yesteryear take over. Truly a treasure.

Food is always good...I've only been there twice ..I think it gets looked over because of where it is but I really like it.

Love this place and the staff. Can't find enough f these types places in the world today. Food is just like you imagine, cooked and served by friendly people with a taste that is reminiscent of your mom's kitchen. Always packed for a reason.

Best southern food around!! It's a staple. Their fried chicken is actually my favorite around. Love the owners to bits!

Everything is excellent home cooking! Popular items are fried chicken and the beef roast.

Some of the best home cooked style foods around. Always something delicious and filling to choose from. If you leave hungry, you are doing something wrong.

I dined in, this is absolutely a wonderful place to eat. Excellent food. Service is kinda like the old Frankie's or Wyatt's. I had the fried chicken and it was fabulous. Now worried about staying awake on the drive home!Wheelchair accessibility: Go for wheelchairs just have to drive around the flower planters two steps at door by the HC parking. Inside is good not too crowded.
