We had dinner here, ordered the oysters and fried green tomatoes for appetizers, both were delicious. I ordered the cajun pasta with shrimp and it was phenomenal, my friend ordered the fish tacos and said they were her favorite. We sat out on the patio and our server was quick and responsive to refills.

Finding the restaurant was the first challenge. We finally found parking behind the restaurant. The parking lot was trashy. Inside the decor was plain, but pleasant, with a giant chalk sign on one wall listing milk stout first. The server said they no longer carried that brand. She suggested a dark lager in an aluminum can-nothing like a stout.I ordered fried oysters with greens which was a lunch special. The oysters were overcooked and the bits of oyster in the heavy breading were tasteless and crunchy. The remoulade sauce was overspiced with no flavor other than hot pepper. The greens were candy sweetened. My husband's crawfish po boy was on genuine poboy bread, well cooked and tasty. Don't order fried oysters!I told the server about the overlooking. She apologized and took my food off the bill.

We were traveling through Little Rock and wanted to stop to get some lunch. I read up on Maddies Place and based on the reviews I decided to give it a try. The staff was friendly and our waitress was attentive. We all got different types of Po Boys and they were delicious. There is a wide selection of alcohol, although we didn't have any. There were some specials that were available after 4pm. Prices were reasonable. I would dine here again if in town.

I had the red fish with greens and crawfish etouffee over grits and we had alligator bites for an appetizer. All of it was amazing especially the dipping sauce for the gator.

Food was overpriced and not very good. $13.50 for the fried tomatoes in the picture as an example. Only 4 small slices without much flavor.

Why isn't this place mobbed?? Nice pours on the wine and spirits. Grilled oysters are excellent. Fried green tomatoes are terrific with a piquant remouladesque sauce that doesn't overpower the tart tomatoes. One suggestion - warm the crab before serving. Gumbo is good. Adding crayfish put it over the top. The shrimp and grits are some of the best we've had. Not only do they use smoked cheddar, the shrimp are grilled instead of sautéed adding a mild charcoal to compliment the smokey cheese. And the andouille sauce is slowly absorbed into the grits culminating in a perfect last bite. Side of greens was delish, using balsamic vinegar added a dimension. Caramelized onions added depth. This meal was so good we considered moving to LR.

I ordered the fried catfish poboy, chicken tender meal, and mac and cheese. I am HIGHLY disappointed. I went around 1pm which is supposed to be the best time to grab a bite to eat. My catfish tasted spoiled and the chicken tenders are not worth getting (too oily and scrawny) the mac and cheese was okay. I’m really pissed. I do not return food but I won’t be returning back to this restaurant.

Great Place for a fresh and tasty meal or dinner.Outdoor seating as well as indoor high table, booth and bar seating. As for the food, this was my first time with my Coworker who recommended Maddie's Place. We had the Blackened turkey poboy and it was delicious and for the price it's surprisingly affordable. Fries were also delicious and the Ranch stood out as fresh and different, in a good way.Service was swift but it was lunch hour so, understandably it took maybe 10 minutes. The food did not disappoint, delicious!Turkey Po boy came with fresh blackened turkey, bacon strips, sautéed onions (i think), fried green tomatoes and your choice of cheese. As a bonus the fries are great or you can have chips as your side. Would recommend and will be back for more!Parking is available mostly directly accross the street and there is a wheelchair accessible crosswalk.Wheelchair accessibility: Parking and entrance are wheelchair accessible.

This was our first visit and the wife and I really enjoyed Maddie's Place. The food was very good and quite reasonably priced. I usually have a healthy appetite but I actually had to get a to go box because I couldn't eat it all. I ate the left overs the next day and they were just as good.I would also highly recommend the peanut butter chocolate pie, it was fantastic. The service was very good but I wouldn't say it was markedly better than any other restaurant I've been to. Overall it was very good experience and it will definitely be on our list to go again.

This place was amazing. Fried Green Tomatoes were coated in a light breading topped with chunks of lump crab meat & scallions. It was delicious ! Shrimp & Grits is their go to entree and it lived up to the hype. The Andouille sausage reduction added the perfect amount of savory flavor to the dish. We will be coming back to try their Gumbo, Jambalaya & desserts !

Being from bayou country and growing up with authentic Cajun cuisine, I cannot express how often I CRAVE the flavor of their chicken and andouille sausage. Really, it's so delicious! Make sure to grab some bread pudding as well ?
