It was wonderful having a sushi place in the Heights -- but now, sadly, Sushi Cafe is no longer in business. They have closed permanently.

Not a fan of overpriced decorator sushi---you know, the kind with 25 ingredients on each serving. It's pretty to look at but not very authentic. I see why people enjoy this place--matching decorator ambience. But if you like the real deal, find an authentic Japanese restaurant.

Worst experience I’ve had at a sushi place in LR. Extremely slow service, they were out of salad, and it felt like their A/C was broken. Would not recommend.

Got salmon roe ikura nigiri, it was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!! Caviar was definitely not fresh and soaked in vinegar to kill bad taste. Giving 2 stars only because other 2 sets of rolls were good. … and it was 30 minutes later from scheduled pick up time

The food was very good. It was a bit loud, but most restaurants are. I’d come back.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. We went and were the only ones in the restaurant. It took an hour to receive our two rolls. Let me add, they were house rolls...so basic easy rolls to make. We ordered the crunchy shrimp and the veggie roll. The crunchy shrimp had the texture of paper towels and the veggie roll was horrendous. Never have we experienced cooked vegetables in a roll...definitely a first. The waiter was off and seemed as if he didn't want to be there. The edamame was rotten. It had a brown color to it to add. Let me also say there was about a pound of salt on top of it. I still was generous and tipped 25%. I should not have. I've seen reviews about being over charged, if that happens with me, I will have an issue. Kroger sushi is a better option.

I took my son per request for his birthday last night. They're soda machine was broken, which happens and we understood so we ordered sweet tea. My son ordered Miso soup which he is a fan of. Im not sure what they brought him but he didnt even finish it before i had to take him outside to throw up. I order sushi and never got it. Myself and both kids ordered steak hibachi. One ordered a strip steak while the other two of us got a filet. When we were served all of them looked like the exact same meat which was neither a strip or filet. None of us could finish it because it was unbearable. They also ordered dessert and I can almost assure you the deserts came right out of a grocery store freezer box. The best part! My total was 150. I payed the total electronically using a QR code on the receipt and didn't add a tip. I left a cash tip on the table. When i checked my account they had added another 20% tip($27) to my online charge. All in all this place is garbage.

Honestly I’m a Dasher/ Waitr Driver and right now dealing with the store on the Waitr platform is ugly since the BiteSquad and Waitr Merger. The pickup time is like a hour after you make it to certain stores. So hopefully it pans out but all in all this is a great place to work!

This is my favorite restaurant in town. Tons of options and they're all great. I would highly recommend the spicy beef noodles, tricolor salad, and Kavanaugh and Dragon rolls.

Great food. Service was a little slow for the small amount of people dining in. Loved the atmosphere. Will be back.

Ordered sushi to go. When I got home I realized the sushi was about 95% rice and maybe 5% spicy crawfish. Way too much sauce, one of the rolls was bland with no flavor. Also their menu is vague in that it doesn’t tell you everything in the sushi rolls with some just saying “shrimp tempura” and nothing else. According to the pictures this is a decent place for sushi. Maybe their Cantrell location is better but I won’t be returning to either. Way overpriced and it should be embarrassing to the owners and management when I say that Rock N Roll Sushi is much better than sushi cafe.

Absolutely yummy ? This was our first time here as we don't live in the area so we sampled a few things. We had miss which was not like I have had it other place but it was very tasty. Edamame was so delicious the salt on the top was just a great flavor boost. California roll, this was very yummy ? and fresh. California sushi bowl, I was not sure I would like this but ya gotta try new things. Oh my was it wonderful!! Everything was super fresh and the flavors were just bursting out of the bowl. We took plenty home and had dinner from the leftovers. Everything was made fresh while we waited. The service was great! This is a must try!!

Service was great menu was extensive but I think this is my least favorite sushi in little Rock. Server needs to learn the menu but I don't blame her for that ❤

So I tried this place last night for the first time. We were celebrating my sisters 17th bday. For starters, I called ahead and asked for a table for 6. We get there and the table they provided was too small. We had to wait while they cleaned the tables. That was annoying but whatever. I ordered the miso soup and it was disgusting. It was $3.5 and was not worth it. I ordered the salmon nigiri and Hawaiian roll. Every single roll we ordered was rushed. We did go closer to closing time so maybe they were tired? Either way the sushi was sooooo basic! It tasted like buffet sushi. The salmon nigiri had a STRONG fishy odor. Yes it's fish but good quality fish does not have a strong fishy smell to it. I also asked for a side of fried rice with steak. The lady told me they didn't serve steak/steak fried rice. Huh? Literally at that point I could no longer take the place serious. Our waiter acted like she didn't want to be there as well. Her vibe was off and I could tell she was ready to go home. All in all I will NEVER go back! I'll stick to SAMU. Overpriced and not worth it! Edit: the wine was good.
