I enjoyed my first time at this steakhouse and hibachi grill. I went there with a large group for lunch. Like any good hibachi, you get a meal and a show. The skill our chef had with his spatula was nothing less than impressive. There was rice flying into our face, tall flames, and spinning utensils. The prices are fair, but no military discount. I had the filet steak medium rare. It was cooked as ordered and very tender. There was stir-fried veggies (mushrooms (not a veggie), zucchini, onions, and broccoli) and fried rice as sides. The food tasted very good.

Overall. Very nice. Professional. Is decorated the Japanese way. Staff is actually japanese that adds to the authentic experience. The food is always just right and nothing less.

I am pretty picky about sushi and hibachi. I actually really enjoy Kanpai. They always have awesome service, their chefs are super friendly, good food, and great prices. My favorite place to get rice from is Fuji's, so I am not super fond of their rice; however, everything else has been amazing. They have awesome Miso Soup. I usually get the spicy tuna roll (no veggies), steak hibachi, and miso soup. I love kanpai. We go there once a month.

Poor management...been here two times in three weeks and had to wait 30+ minutes for our chef because only two were scheduled and they had multiple tables waiting. Also last two times were hot as hell...in excess of 80°, unsatisfactory.

Tons of room. Ok on parking. The food was yummy. Large portions. The edamame was seasoned just right. Service was quick. We chose to not sit at the grill. Huge sushi menu. Plenty of options to choose from. Staff was friendly.

Portions were the smallest I’ve seen. Not that the price was any cheaper-that was normal. I tried Nigiri and a tuna roll. All very small portions of rice and fish. Def will not go back. Spent 30 dollars on muscle and still left hungry.
The food is really good but I will not be going back. My boyfriend and I went up there after Christmas shopping. We sat in regular seating and were the only ones in regular seating. Besides us two in the restaurant there were two hibachi tables and that was it. Our waitress never asked if we wanted a refill on drinks the whole time we were sitting down and we were through with our drinks before we even got our food. They also added a tip to their ticket which we did not authorize because uh horrible service and the fact that she forgot an appetizer and didn't come back until the food was ready. Never asked how we were doing or if she can get us anything else. Just dropped the plates and walked off. I'm very disappointed. Also they claim that the manager is never there, especially when it involves dissatisfied customers

I visited a week ago on a Monday for lunch. We were seated in the hibachi section. I noticed black pieces of "something" on the surface of our plates, menus, napkins, and table. We were given new plates, but within moments more black specks fell from above. We moved to the opposite side of the restaurant without the abovehead vents. In the bathroom I discovered no paper towels from the automatic dispenser. I would have appreciated witnessing a cleaner environment and more active sanitation practices. Because you know, Covid. *insert shoulder shrug here*

My visit to Kanpai was a work lunch with 5 of my coworkers. The food was great but the waitress appeared stressed and kept overlooking us and missed me and another guy completely on our orders. We waited patiently and it was 10min before we seen her again to put in our orders but by that time the rest of our table was getting their rolls. I got a Cali roll and a teriyaki chicken bento box. Other than waiting non of us had any complaints.
