I've always had great food here. I had the pesto salmon this evening and was disappointed. It's the first time I have not overly enjoyed what I ordered. I believe I would have enjoyed the salmon more without the pesto! Our server Kinsey provided excellent service!!!
I had the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito. It tasted great and was very filling. I enjoyed the salsa that came with the burrito, but I definitely needed two cups of the salsa.

Wait time was long, but we were I informed of that upfront. The food was not good. A club sandwich, was not a good choice. No I will not be getting that again. Stick to breakfast, they are better in that area.
I brought my son here for his birthday. The food was ok not good for what they charge. I ordered a burger no onions and of course it came full of onions. My son ordered grits they were so watery with no flavor. The fries were good that’s about it for me. My son said the chicken fried steak was ok. I’m sorry but the place wasn’t that busy for how long it took to get our food to come out. Pepsi tasted weird tea was good I won’t be back it’s not my first time there but the food just isn’t good. Way overpriced for food they serve.

This is not my first time at Black Bear, however, this time was the worst! Our party of 5 arrived at 11:48 and was seated at 11:56, which was not bad at all for a Saturday morning. Once seated, our waiter came over to greet us and took our drink orders. We all ordered water, coffee and an orange juice. After sitting for at least 30 minutes and watching other tables come after us, eat and leave, we remained waiting patiently. Our waiter kept coming by offering us more coffee, but no food. We watched a table of at least 12 be seated 30 minutes after we arrived. Their food came out immediately and they were eating, WE STILL HAD NO FOOD! After noticing the restaurant thinning out and an hour later, WE STILL HAD NO FOOD! I went to ask for the manager and the only thing he said was because it's Saturday?? I explained that we've been sitting for an hour and 15 minutes (now) with nothing and he had no explanation??? They then starting trying to piece our meals together, in which we declined and decided to leave.Highly disappointed!

We you see the parking lot empty, you should stay away. Very poor service, teenagers without proper training. No adults or mangers in sight. Will not be returning. Maybe Friday night just isn’t the night to go. I’ll never know. They actually forgot to put meat in the taco salad.

Had the worse experience ever, brought my partners to enjoy some breakfast one evening and was told they were put of sausage and can't do certain orders........was waiting at the front with the partners to figure out whether or not we were going to stay and overheard them say "did they not hear us about certain stuff being out?" Gave us all dirty looks so we decided to go somewhere else. Have never been back since.Kid-friendliness: Oh definitely unsure about bringing children here as they are disgusting to their customers.
