I'm not even from Arkansas (Connecticut lady here) and this place has the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. I was thinking about their sausage egg and cheese sandwich that I had literally a week ago and I felt like I needed to came back and give Batten's a five start review. Their donuts and coffee are pretty top notch as well. Can't wait to come back to Arkansas and get more Batten's ?❤️
Best Donuts and fried pies in Arkansas.Have Been eating Battens since the 70's. We would go before school and he would be so busy that he would give you the glazed donuts and if you wanted Chocolate he would show you how to dip them in the bowl of chocolate glaze that was on the table. Very nice man.

Can't say enough about this place! What a legend they are in not just their community, but the whole area of NE Arkansas! Best advice...GET THERE EARLY!!! Just like any bakery worth a hoot, they will sell out every single day. The only hours you need to concern yourself with are the hour in which they open. They will sell out before the closing time so don't bet on showing up at 11am and them having everything you want. This is not a knock on them at all, but a tip of the cap...read full review
