If you’ve never been to Prairie Grove Arkansas, you need to go. Hometown living at its finest. We had the pleasure of eating at Mel’s Diner. It’s as awesome as it gets, extremely clean and amazing food. You won’t be disappointed with anything on the menu. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Orders cooked fresh as you order.

There is not a better Burger that I have ever ate! Everything at Mel's diner is amazing! Including the owners who cook and serve you everytime no matter what . And their pancakes are amazing!!! I couldn't find a picture of the pancake but it was bigger than the plate! The sidewinder fries so crispy hot perfect . Fried mushrooms! Plus the price you can't beat! I just thank the Lord that they are close to where I live!! If you live far away it's worth the drive. The only downside is .... They close at 2:00 pm. But how else could they have a life and be the ones that cook for you and serve you every time no matter what. Thank you Mel's diner for amazing food every time we come in and I'd like to think we are frequent flyers for not living in the same town . Sorry this post is so long but this place deserves it!! It was our first time eating here and it was a good experience to be honest. The server was very polite and attentive. She was welcoming. The food came out fresh. You do need to pay for sides if you want any to come with your main course.Chicken Fried Steak Sandwhich was crispy and well seasoned. My girlfriend said she love the fact that it was not soggy in the slightest. A good 8/10.The Double Bacon Burger was top notch. It was big and worth the price. It tasted amazing and had actual crispy bacon unlike a lot of places that have "microwave bacon." Cheese waa fully melted. We gave it 8.5/10 and would have it again. Can't imagine how big the monster burger is after seeing the double.The chili cheese fries were enjoyable. They use "authentic southern chili" says my girlfriend. We gave it a 7.5.In the end we felt like the $27 was worth the service and food.
The portions were perfect and the food was seasoned well. The owners were nice and friendly. Big bang for your buck!!!!!

I've been here twice before and not really had great experiences, the food was decent but service is always rude. Next time we tried breakfast and it was bland and boring so we didn't return for a few years. Tried to give it another chance this morning and ordered breakfast online, since they have that option. It says to call them if you do not receive an email confirmation and we did not receive confirmation, so I called...4 times...no answer. So we pulled up at the window to a rude lady that said "if you didn't get a confirmation then I didn't get it." We told her we called multiple times and no answer. She just stared at us and said "it's real busy in here." There were three cars parked..didn't look that busy, but it seemed like she was too bothered to deal with us so we just left. Don't offer online ordering or a drive through if you don't want to use it. I don't understand how this place is still functioning with how many bad reviews I've heard about it. Seems like they only treat regular customers and friends with good service and respect.

Trying to understand the reviews because we just tried this place for the first time and won’t be back. Food lacked any type of flavor whatsoever. Coffee was fair and creamer options are powder only - yuck! Eggs zero flavor, potatoes zero flavor. Oh and then I ask for tea because they don’t serve Diet Coke and she bring me a sweet tea without even asking if I wanted sweet or unsweetened. Save yourself and go elsewhere.

We are NOT a fast food Food is good. Huge pancakes and biscuit gravy. Reasonably priced. Lots of rules that take away from an otherwise great atmosphere. Here's a few Breakfast ends at 10:30 daily Can not substitute for biscuits and gravy Not available during festival weekends May not be done all the alway through No refills for the juice, milk or hot chocolate No substitutions Employees only, Go Away Keep Out Painter should have used masking tape Coffee's good Server was reasonably pleasant
