I had a great experience here with my fiancé for my bday!! We wanted a place with good quality food and a classy atmosphere and we were extremely pleased! Not only did we get to personally meet the baker/owner, but she was even helping to refill drinks, serve, and greet others. This is a mom and pop restaurant so don’t expect things you might expect from a chain restaurant, this is a special place, and not lining the pockets of multimillionaire chain owners who aren’t even working there. And don’t be disrespectful when you are someone who is just hard to please no matter where you go. This place had excellent steaks, bread, salads, etc. and while the prices were a little steep, it was worth it for quality service and supporting a local small restaurant, as well as the selection of higher quality food! Most people review to say bad things, but I’m here to say go and support if you’re a kind person who is not too picky or hard to please because you will be beyond satisfied! We will be back for sure!!!

Made reservations got seated and noticed the plate was dirty which made me look at my tea glass and noticed it had something in it too. So we just thought no biggie we’ll just exchange them for cokes. We ordered for three and serval people received their food before ours so after two hours of waiting for we finally got our food. We had asked about it once and a waitress had told us it was being plated then about 10 mins later another said she was sorry it’s taking so long and that the chef was cooking it so the First Lady lied. Then all they could do was offer a free desert and in my opinion for the price we paid and service we received was not worth it at all. The food was okay not worth the price but I’ve had better service. I wouldn’t recommend dirty dishes, was told the normal cook had called in, I don’t mind to wait for food if it’s good but two hours for a small party is ridiculous, and the service was terrible for a high end restaurant. If the bottom of my empty coke is slowly turning to water from the ice melting I think that can tell you the service we received. Word of mouth will go a long ways good luck and hope the fat chef can do better we won’t ever be back.

When you arrive and you get seated to look down at your plate to see it’s dirty, slow service took two hours once we placed our order. For the price we paid and the service we received was horrible. Wouldn’t recommend.

I cannot believe how good the food is at the Fat Chef. We had the stuffed mushrooms and I order the Scottish salmon steak with fresh scallops on top!! Amazing.We will be back soon!!

Our experience was excellent. We were in from out of town. Looked it up online on a whim and sometimes you get lucky and reserve the last table available on a Friday evening. The food and service were as promised, top notch! So do note it is priced accordingly like a fine steakhouse. Spinach dip was delicious as were the scallops and the ribeye. The dichotomy between prime tailored food and service, and then the casual atmosphere was, frankly, refreshing. Easy and transparent to see from the reviews and website. We enjoyed it all. Great little find.
