Po’Boy is a specific type of sandwich, you order with expectations. It should be on crusty French bread cut in half lengthwise and filled with fried meat, sauce, thinly sliced tomato. What they serve is deconstructed, thick section of tomato, 1/3 onion, neither sliced with the meat on the plate and two pieces of sliced white bread. To qualify this review, they were really busy. Our table had a Crawfish PoBoy which was white bread and fried crawfish only... And was not eaten as there was no seasoning or anything. The chicken fried steak was a little overcooked, but tasted fine. It's was cold when it arrived at the table. The grilled shrimp salad was really good along with the seasoned crackers. I was traveling down the interstate when I felt like having a steak. JB's was quite a bit out of my way but after reading a couple of reviews I decided to try it. What a mistake it was not to be there a long time ago. I had the ribeye smothered perfectly done and had an appetizer of coconut shrimp, the dipping sauce was like none I've had before. The staff was busy but took the time to talk with me including the cooks, I will definitely be back whenever I pass thru
