Not a coffee shop as advertised

Picked this place because it was a 'local spot' for breakfast, highly rated. We were glad to find a place that was not a chain, and got such rave reviews. When we arrived it was busy, but the wait for a seat was only about 10 minutes. Sadly, the food was not good. The chicken-fried steak is supposedly a very popular item. , so that is what one of us ordered (we OFTEN order this to test a restaurant's ability to make a good b-fast). The previously frozen "sysco" cfs was greasy, as were the hashbrowns. Really greasy. Bummer. The pancakes were okay. Looking at food on other tables, ours was not an anomaly ~ it all looked heavy with the lube. Sorry to say, would not recommend unless you go for the elder vibe, with decent gloppy portions.

This place is hopping at breakfast time, and you may have to wait. Do it, it's worth it. Great service, and really nice greasy dinner food. A real treat if you are a fan of American breakfast. My brother swears by the patty melt if you are more a lunch person. I come here every time I am in town.

Road tripping so using TripAdvisor to find decent dining and lodging experiences. Mickey D’S had glowing reviews. Why!? Busy place with lots of locals. Food was Ok but the Manager was a monster! Staff was running to keep from being attacked by him! He was just short of yelling demands and orders at all of them. One poor young girl was close to tears after he harassed her and then she disappeared. A very young waif-like girl was being trained and he would hide around corners and watch her every step to catch a mistake! Have never seen anything like it! His poor staff must all need their jobs bad enough to endure treatment like this. Visit Apache Junction regularly…will never return to this place!

I have been eating here since 2002. I was worried when Mickey sold the place that it would not be as good as many when it changes hands. But they kept the same staff mostly so to speak and the gravy was not changed and thus still excellent. The price is right and the food is good, I usually have bacon and eggs with side of gravy and my wife has the Chix fried steak with lots of gravy with half order of biscuits and gravy. We both love their gravy it, for us, is best in town but, not in state but hey what can I say. I went to a place down the street to check it out where I usually just have a beer or two at night and tried their bacon and eggs, it was 70 cents cheaper but only got one toast and only two slices of bacon I had to go home and cook cause I was still hungry. I sampled their gravy and it was not very good. So Mickeys rule, the man cashier is very sociable but diligent and he smiles and makes you feel welcome and always asks how things were and if you want to leave a tip, this guy is tops in my book, the wait staff is all very excellent and proficient even though this is a hard time to staff a restaurant. The young man that busts tables and helps serve water and coffee is fast and congenial, he does a great job assisting the staff, kudos to him. Great place keep it up. Last meal was steak and eggs, 8 ounce steak only $10.50, wow great deal. and was cooked perfectly to order.

My wife & I eat there about twice per week. The food is Very Good, portions are large the service is usually Great and the prices are reasonable. They get terribly busy during the snowbird season, so you have to pick the best time to go there. There are very few good restaurants in Apache Junction and Mickey D,s is really worth trying. Becky, Brooke, Lisa, Ram (the owner) and all the staff will really work to make your meal right for you. I have no affiliation to the place, I just enjoy eating there...often

Biscuits and gravy is excellent. Sausage links are very good. Coffee is good, not fresh ground but good. Very affordable. Will be back??

I’m a light breakfast person but my friends love brunch and convinced me to join them. The place was hopping, welcoming. My guests tried omelettes, burittos and other items. Me just a pancake, hot cake, flap jack ( whatever they all them in AZ) and it was average, so stick to their signature meals. Coffee ☕️ was better than any cappuccino shop and only $1.50 and kept filled often. When I was there they were swamped so the service was lacking and kitchen slow but who cares? If you are in a terrible rush go to MacD’s not Mickey D’s ??

I was going to Mickey D's quite daily and the food and service were good. A week ago I went and ordered an egg omelette . The waitress came and put down a chili omelette. I said that was not what I ordered but that was what she had written down on her pad. She put a rush on my egg omelette. Apparently the kitchen did rush the food as the hash browns were barely cooked and neither was the omelette. I figured I could take the food home and finish cooking it so I had the waitress bring me a container. When I got home I warmed the food up in the microwave. I started eating and I noticed a black speck in the omelette. I pulled on it and out came a long black hair. Needless to say this stopped me from eating the food but instead threw it into the garbage. The coffee at Mickey D's is always good. I now find that when I drive by Mickey D's I think of the black hair in my food and I just can't make myself turn into the parking lot to go to eat there again.

If you are looking for classic dish - this is the place. Menu packed with excellent selection - substitutes welcomed. Please give famous Route 66 a chance to impress you, as it did us.

While in Arizona for our daughters wedding we discovered Mickey D's for breakfast. The food was great and reasonably priced. The servers were very friendly and attentive. We ate there twice during our visit and would return.

First time back since virus closedown. Was extremely disappointed when only the kitchen staff wore masks! When waitress was questioned, was told it's not mandatory and we're not wearing them! Be warned.

Waited 45 minutes for a table. Waited another 45 minutes for food. My parents ordered the daily special ‘Liver and Onions’ it was obviously burned and dried out like shoe leather. My grand kids had chicken strip meals , Which were lack luster . Ruben sandwich was exceptionally salty . Turkey sandwich was soggy . As we left, a gentleman counting the register, asked how our meal Was. I told him about the Liver and showed him that it was burned as I had packed it up for my puppy. He shrugged his shoulders and said if we had told the waitress she would have brought out more liver. We did tell waitress . She brought out more gravy . Even my dog would not eat the liver ! Never again.
