I've been there before the ownership changed and now last night I've experienced the renamed AV since the new owners took over. The difference is night and day. Very Chill and relaxing . It helps you relax when the employees and active owners walk by or stop to serve you and they genuinely are happy to be at this bar.
This place is awesome! Low key in such a cure area of downtown Avondale. The owner is kind hearted and cares so much about his place. It’s very big which is nice because it can accommodate a big party but also can be intimate if you are going in couples. On Saturday nights they have free Shrimp Cocktail!! Super rad! And they play Tejano and Cumbias so get ready to dance. They have all spirits, tap and also all beer. I really enjoyed the place and it was much needed in Avondale....read full review

Now known as whiskey on Western awesome local bar. Owners are awesome, Bartenders are great, they have karaoke, trivia and drink specials through out the week and concerts when booked. Definitely a place to stop by have a few drinks, shoot some pool and sing a few bar songs.
