Based on their menu, I thought that this would be a good choice for my husband's birthday dinner. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to my expectations. The French onion soup was way too salty to enjoy, and a friend's ahi tuna was pre-packaged and seved cold. She said that it tasted fishy, which is not the case with fresh ahi. My husband enjoyed his patty melt, and the service was good, but we won't be returning. Too expensive for the quality of the food.

The quiche was the worst I've ever tasted, salty! The top was dark and sunken in, it didn't even have an inch of filling in it. Salad was so small. Just terrible! Presentation, zero. It was a to-go order so I guess they don't care. My mother-in-law was from France and a gourmet cook, so I'm used to incredibly delicious and presentable quiche. Black mountain bistro and bar $20 meal, waste of my time and my money. Hope I don't get sick. I pretty much threw it away but I did eat some. I'd remove the quiche from your menu, not a good choice for however it's made, and the taste, not good at all.

For our little town being soooo busy this weekend, the husband and I went to Black Mountain Bistro for our anniversary. Ordered the Ahi Tuna and bruschetta appetizers. Sooo GOOD! Then we both had the steak Diane and it was almost indescribable how tender our steak was. Our server Megan, was super busy but was great with how many tables were filled in there. Great job to the chef and Megan. Love this place and will be back again and again.❤️
