First time customer. Food was pretty good. The pulled pork was average at best but the brisket was good. I was gonna give the food lower but it kinda got better as you ate it.Here is my problem and why I gave them a 1... When checking out it asked for a tip. Now I see all the tables etc and thought that there would be service, so I tipped. I know how it is working in restaurants.I was given a styrofoam cup and she pointed me to my table. I could get my own silverware, napkins, sauce, etc. Then to top it off A FREAKING ROBOT CAME TO DELIVER MY FOOD. Why did I tip for 0.0 service?!Is the owner greedy and think "thanks for the tip, it helps me pay for my robot."?Do the people that work there even get it? If so, WHY? What did they do to serve me besides take my order? The reason you tip is for good service!I know we are seeing this more and more these days, but to the owner- HOW DARE YOU even put the "option" at the register to tip? So I can tip a robot?This is so messed up. The food wasn't THAT good to justify another visit.Oh, and I get to bus my own table too.EDIT: The owner did follow up with an explanation after my review, and I'll bump up my review score. (Service robot Missy STILL gets a 1 on principle) I respect what they said, and that shows that they do care. That means a lot.And by the way, it was very clean and welcoming.

I've always enjoyed the food but found the lady a bit rude behind the counter. She couldn't hear my order the first and instead said I couldn't make up my mind. Then I over hear talking with customers and I found her to be talking down to people.She could try being a bit more customer service oriented and little less condescending.

This place beats the place across the street by a landslide. It’s not even a debate at this point. Food is faster and better, and the deserts are amazing. Service doesn’t even compare. Yes they have a robot, but when you are greeted by a host/cashier who is as hospitable as this one is… it won’t matter in the slightest. Plus, I have to admit, the robot is pretty cool at first. The atmosphere is also perfect for a BBQ spot. Love it and I will be back again, and again, and again!!Vegetarian options: Green beans, carrots, mustard greens, coleslaw, baked potato, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, potato salad, macaroni salad, cornbread, cobbler, piesDietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free optionsKid-friendliness: $2.99 kids meals after 5pm… AND it comes with a fountain drink!

The Mat could have been better. The Mac and cheese could have been better plus they didn't have any beef ribs, and that's what I really wanted.
This is by far my favorite barbecue place in the valley! Everybody has their opinions on what style barbecue they like, and I don't know enough about the styles to be able to tell you, but I will tell you that the brisket can be cut with a fork with no effort. Scratch that, you think about cutting it with a fork and it falls apart. Amazing flavor, perfect marbling, fantastic! Beans with jalapenos are a nice twist. The new robot server was a bit unnerving at first but the novelty was entertaining. Highly recommend!

Customer service is dead!!!! When the customer has to initiate conversation with the 'host' while standing in front of her silently for almost a minute, I should've left then. Placed my order. A sandwich and chips. After 24 minutes of my break wasted waiting on a sandwich ( which probably had yesterday's brisket) I approach the counter and ask where my food is. Of course there's finger pointing and someone or something else is to blame for losing the order. Takes the rest of my break to get the sandwich which tasted like it came from a QT. Should've went there instead for lunch, would've been cheaper for same value and wouldn't have wasted my entire break on horrible customer service.
