Great eating and drinks and the music at the patio in Saturdays is awesome! you will see young people and not so young having a great time! not crazy just lots of laughs, and good energy. can't wait for it to reopen

Any Mexican restaurant that charges you for chips and salsa has an aim at bad profits. This place is no exception. They offer you a mediocre salsa and chips for a small charge and then want to charge you for additional salsas. Who does that, and why? The food, and food portions, are decent here. I've had the chimichanga and the hard tacos. The service on both occasions has been less than stellar. The rice and refried beans are what you would expect. The shredded beef is what you want to order if you want something more unique. They call it shredded beef, I call it barbacoa. It must be an Arizona thing

We were seated promptly. I ordered fajitas which are normally sizzling but there were big ceiling fans. This made the food cold before it could be enjoyed. Small servings guacamole and tortillas were hard.

Our first visit and it was great. Had the green chili. Pork was tender and the gravy/sauce was really near perfect. With a cold beer and exceptional wait staff it was spectacular day.

Good Mexican food pretty authentic also. I had the green chili and although it wasn't best I've had it was still really good. The appetizer quesadilla was way bigger than expected and fulfilling. The waitress did a good job getting orders filled quickly as well as our drinks. Possibly be back next time in town.

My friend and I were on our way to a street fair when we saw the El Zocalo sign, and since we both love Mexican food we decided to give it a try. Good decision! We had a delicious lunch in a pretty setting on a nice sunny day. We started off with a creamy cheese dip topped with chorizo. It was sooo very yummy. We asked our server about it and she told us it was a simple recipe created by their chef. Even the salsa Zocalo serves to every table was very good, better than many other Mexican restaurants I've been to. I had the chicken enchiladas. Delish. My friend had a taco and enchilada combo. We both went for the borracho beans, which are whole pinto beans cooked with bacon and peppers. Wanted to try dessert since they offer a homemade flan, but nope. Not an inch of room left after the appetizer and entree. There is a large inner seating area, but choose the patio in back. Trees, fountain, pottery, and a bright blue adobe oven. This is definitely a place I'd come back to.

My first time coming here for the night time dancing. Had a great time! Awesome music and I love how they split 2 Djs. One inside and one outside, great music, crowd was great. The only thing that I really wish they had was an outside bar... even as simple as having big cooler outside with a couple different beers selection. They would've gotten at least 6 more beers out of me tonight but the bar inside was so busy I didn't even want to go near there. Just a suggestion that I think I can Improve this place. But other than that had a great time!
El Zocalo was awesome in the day time it has a quiet lush patio and at night it transforms into a 90's hip-hop club inside and a Latin music dance floor outside in the back patio.

This place has been a long standing restaurant in Chandler. Eaten here many, many times and the food is great. The tres flautas lunch special is great, highly recommended. The service is fast and the porch area is great on a fall/winter AZ afternoon.
