My family goes to the First Watch on Alma School Rd in Chandler very often and for a very long time, ever since I was a child. Today I’m sad to say, we weren’t welcomed as usual. My mother brought her service shepherd who has been well trained. Right when we walked on the patio we weren’t even greeted good morning before being snapped at about our service dog. We would have felt better if we had received at least a little hospitality, but we got nothing.It made it even worse when another customer was seated on the patio with a tiny terrier that obviously was not a service dog and weren’t even questioned about it. The inconsiderate server gave their dog water and didn’t even ask us if our dog needed any water either. Very unprofessional and a lack of respect for service dogs and Veterans here.

We have eaten here a few times. The food is good. Some was a little salty but that could just be my tastes. It's usually fairly busy and the staff do what they can to look after everyone, just don't expect to be their #1 priority.It has a friendly lively atmosphere. I'm sure we will be back again the next time we are in the Chandler area.

I ordered the biscuits and gravy meal to go as well as a kids French toast. The biscuits and gravy meal was really good. I was just a little disappointed that there wasn’t any potatoes when I opened the box. Also, the fruit and berry compote was missing from the kids French toast. My husband was picking up the order for me. Otherwise if I noticed while picking up, I would have said something. Overall good food but disappointed with missing items.

Today is the second time I’ve had a problem being served at a Chandler area First Watch. As a black man with a wife who is white, I always wonder if it is in my head, or is it because of the direction our society seems intent on going in.

The wait can be long on a Saturday or Sunday morning but the staff is polite and the food is very good. French toast with maple bacon.
