Made reservation for 3 several days in advance. They called an hour prior to tell us we would have to wait at least an hour and then still not be guaranteed a table due to being short staffed. Not very apologetic either. What's the point of a reservation then

Aaron was our Teppanyaki Chef, and he was excellent. He was extremely talented and personable. The food was absolutely delicious.I got the vegetarian Teppanyaki with fried rice, as well as a cucumber avocado sushi roll. Both her incredible. My friend got the steak and shrimp Teppanyaki. My friend kept commenting on how good hers was, and so while although I cannot personally recommend the steak and shrimp, I trust her feedback!I’ve never had a bad meal or experience from HonMachi and I’ve been here about 5-6 times.I Highly recommend HonMachi!

Andrew was our teppanyaki chef, and David was our server. Both were very personable and professional. The Hamachi kama is very tasty and reasonable. Be ready to spend a little more than usual. But it's worth it. The portions are generous. The sushi ? is always fresh. Enjoy!

Wish I could give 0 stars. We've been a couple times and the service is bad but it's affordable. Two nights ago we went and our entire party of 8 got food poisoning. We did the teppanyaki. It was a nightmare. Even my 3 year old who just had the fried rice got food poisoning. Something must have been spoiled in the rice or something in our water. We will never be coming back.

I have been here a couple times and it has yet to disappoint! The food is fresh and the chefs on the hibachi side are awesome! We will be back!

Best sushi for a very reasonable price. We order sushi combo and it was sooooo fresh with best green tea ever. Will definitely come back!

Looking for a teppanyaki experience that far exceeds Benihana? This is it. The friendliest staff , great chefs, and awesome food. The best part is they are timely in delivery. Teppanyaki is meant to be a great dinner show, but let's be real, no one wants to wait 1.5 hours for the show to start. Highly recommend this spot!

This was my second year for our company dinner and it was just as good as the first time if not better! The food is fresh and the service was on time and prompt. We were happy they were able to cater to us on our special days. We enjoyed our chefs they were amazing and very talented. Not to mention funny! If you've never been to one of these grills, you absolutely need to check it out. The food was superb. Every aspect of it was fresh! We will be back next year. Thanks again

Like most teppanyaki places, you should expect to be there approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours. This place took over a half hour to get our drinks and it was a little dark. I asked about the hood light because everyone else's table was on but ours. They must've forgotten to change the light bulb? The flavor of the food was good, but he overcooked my shrimp and the rice accidentally had egg shells in it, It was kind of crunchy but it had great flavor! My family had filet mignon, NY strip, chicken and sushi. They absolutely loved it! Most teppanyaki places over cook your steak, even if you asked for it to be medium or medium rare. This place cooked it perfectly. Overall, I would give it a 2nd chance. ?

Came in on a whim after climbing at Alta Boulders due to the lack of open options in the area at 9pm. When we got inside, we saw a deal for AYCE sushi for $25.99 and the host said the menu has some great options, but we'd have to sit at the sushi bar. We ended up ordering 6-7 nigiri rolls and some regular + special rolls too! Incredible late night option with a super friendly sushi chef who wanted to get to know us and made some incredible rolls. Quiet place closer towards the end of the night but had every major sports game on all the TVs :)
