The food is good enough, although as lovers of Mexican food, I feel like they toned down the spices and flavors for the American customers. I found myself pouring salsa to make it spicier and more flavorful.I’d recommend the chef they don’t hold back. Most of the Mexican restaurants that I’ve been to that keep the authentic flavor usually have a line out the door. You can always have options for people who don’t enjoy the spices in flavor. The salsa was good though.Parking: There’s plenty of parking spots in the lot.

Great lunch spot. Great atmosphere and quick service. The cook singing in the back is an added bonus.

Best breakfast burritos in Chandler area. Flavorful and fulfilling at a decent price! Rolled tacos are a great choice for dinner.

The breakfast burritos are packed. The entrees come with big portions of protein. The spices they use compliment the red and green salsa they make from scratch. The prices are reasonable for a taco stand style restaurant.Unlike other businesses like gadzooks and cafe rio where it’s as expensive as a sit down restaurant without the service or chips and salsa. This place keeps the price where it should be without the bells and whistles. They do not have an oven, they only have a grill, so the only entree I don’t recommend is the enchiladas.Bathrooms are always clean and they take great care to keep the restaurant clean as a whole. Which makes eating there pleasant

Have tried numerous Mexican restaurants in the area since I moved here in August. Very few of them offer authentic tasting food. As I have the experience of tasting food by dating a lady of Mexican origin, I have a taste for in home cooking. Papa’s is close. I suggest you check it out. I will continue to use papa’s as my primary source for local authentic Mexican food.

The food is the bomb. But if the cooks don't like you (I am pretty sure it's because I'm white- cuz I never did ANYTHING TO ANY OF THEM) they will give you TINY PORTIONS of what you order. For example a tostada will have 2 spoonfuls of beans a tiny lettuce and a tiny bit of cheese while you watch all the other orders have overflowing lettuce and cheese and portions. They have done this to me on purpose most of this year. The bald guy with the fake hair tattoo hates me for some strange reason so he does me dirty on my orders even when I'm tipping 10 and 20 dollar bills to GET THEM TO BE NICE TO ME AND MAKE MY FOOD DECENT. I'll update this post with pics of proof next time I order cuz it is my closest Mexican food place I actually really like. I just wish the cooks didn't hate me and take it out on my food. Not like I'm paying less for these smaller portions or something. I pay FULL PRICE.

Ordered the menudo to go on a Sunday. This is the 3rd time and their menudo is a slight departure from what I've had in California but it is amazing!! 5 stars. It's thicker with a great blend of spices. Today it's 3 stars. I've never heard of bones in menudo. Maybe it's an AZ thing or for flavor and I got the bottom of the pot, but biting into chipped bones is no beuno. BTW, to-go orders take a very long time. I've waiting 15 minutes for them to ladle the menudo into a styrofoam bowl. Not gonna lie, it's so good, it's worth the wait. Order ahead.

We had the Chicken Tacos, cheese and bean Quesadillas and loaded tacos. The chicken tacos was flavorless and dripping with oil. Quesadillas and tacos were decent, no salsa accompanied. Service was prompt and courteous.
