YOURE BETTER OFF GOING TO THE FRYS ON DOBSON AND ELLIOTT. This store has a lot of issues. The worst is the self cashier section, the machines constantly breakdown. And the girls that usually are there are ALWAYS on their phone and if god forbid you need help and have to flag them down cause they can't bother to watch for problems. They act like you are bothering them. I mean I'm sorry you are at WORK I'm sorry your instagram and text messaging is inconveniencing YOUR JOB. I went to the deli and again one lady helped me and literally one guy helped another 2 customers with twice as much orders than me. And they got out quicker. I don't seem to have issues with the men they seem to work well but the women are definitely tired. The Fry's is literally at the same distance than the Safeway and it's no wonder this Safeway is never busy. I will just go to the fry's from now on.

On Tuesday 10/24 around 8:30 am I made my usual stop at the Starbucks and as I walked up to the register the employee ( the manager) Sylvia D. Did not greet me as she was on her phone and simultaneously looking down at some documents which looked like a schedule. I waited a few seconds and advised her I had to get on my way to work and all wanted was a banana bread. I asked where was the employee who usually there, Silvia said she gave her the day off and stated" I am the Manager"I exchanged words to her about the service she rudely asked if I wanted it heated up. I acknowledged how impolite she was being towards me and it is hard to believe she was the manager. She said I am trying not to be rude to you so do want the bread heated or not. I quickly refused to continue with the transaction and she shrugged her shoulders stating I don't have give you any money back your transaction hasn't happened. In my opinion, employees should be mindful of customers patronizing any business and Starbucks/safeway are reputable companies and should not staff managers that has no respect for customers.

Bagels rolls donuts should be out when store opens customers shouldn’t have to wait plus not even being greeted is unacceptable this is EVERY DAY!

This is my go-to store in the area, but I want to say thanks to both the evening and day shift front end supervisors who helped me with a challenging issue last night and today. You went over and above, and my husband and I are very grateful!

06/03/2023 Worst pharmacy ever!!! Went here to get medication for an infection through goodrx I've never had an issue before, and I just moved out here and the pharmacist was yelling at me and I told her to lose the attitude and she didn't even want to be there (just completely lazy, should not be a pharmacist). She was snapping at the nice old couple in front of me too (that was red flag #2 after her attitude with me over the phone in the morning).... And SHES THE ONE IN CHARGE OF TRAINING !!!! Kept saying she needs to contact the doctor when I didn't have a doctor, and said she needed an ID, over the phone told me it can be a photo, and an address of me living in chandler... I then called goodrx and they said I didn't need any of that information.... And they transferred my medication.06/04/2023The pharmacy goodrx was transferring my medication but this Safeway pharmacist wouldn't transfer it so I had to redo the whole process to get my prescription and got it through cvs that gave me no trouble!I feel bad for anyone who gets their medication from here this can seriously be a danger to so many people

It costs a bit more than the WinCo down the street, and the selection is not quite as good for some items, however I keep going back for the service, and mostly because the store is kept clean. What a difference. I mostly get my groceries in the am, and the winco has carts everywhere in the parking lot, they are filthy with food trash in them. Got there on a game day, and the kid was watching the game on his phone while driving a forklift up the aisle. Damn near hit me. Another kid was supposed to be stocking drinks and had stuff strewn so that I couldn't even get to the items I wanted, and was sitting in the aisle on his phone. Safeway never has issues like that. Perfect? No, but a far better customer experience. I stop into winco to get the few things Safeway doesn't have, then I do Safeway for everything else. I'm willing to pay slightly more in order to not be frustrated. Oh, did I mention Safeway does Apple Pay? No luck at WinCo there either.

my daughter had an interview , i was in the store with her and heard one woman tell another she wasnt going to do today and tell her to come back. very unprofessional. if she had asked to rescheduled they wouldnt be ok with that but its acceptable when its them? not only that, but the lady didnt have the professionalism to speak with her directly. such a trash location in general. will be calling corporate monday am.

This store needs new leadership. Every time I shop here I ask myself "why do I keep coming here?" Ice cream is always half melted. Deli workers act as if you're bothering them. Today there was no produce people and a bunch of inventory was out of stock plus all of the shopping carts were in the parking lot. It's obvious this store doesn't have the leadership to hire, motivate and retain good employees. Pure amateur league. Too bad I have to shop at Walmart... when it's farther away.

Stopped in while my son was waiting in the emergency room at a nearby hospital. Had to use the restroom. They sure needed some attention and probably a little tlc too as things appeared to be falling apart. Looked around for a little bit while I was there. Had a pretty good selection of stuff but prices were a little high. Bought some Cheetos to munch on while waiting on my son. Had to buy 3 in order to get them for 1.97 plus have a Safeway card. If places are going to have a sale, just mark everything at sale prices instead of making people sign up for cards. Hate when places do that. Checked out then saw the lottery machine at end of register so decided I'd get a couple. Never used the machine before and wanted to use cash but after doing my selection it didn't give me the option for cash, so tried my card and it kept asking me if I wanted a duplicate. I'm thinking a duplicate of what? I didn't a duplicate lottery ticket if that's what it meant so I hit cancel and asked for someone to help me. The girl at the end of self checkout said she couldn't help me and had to stay there. Well she should of called someone over to help then. Finally the guy waiting behind me said you could put cash in at the checkout even though it doesn't say you can. Tried that and it worked. People need to stop and help and not brush everyone off.

This is a review specifically for their pick up service. The shopper named Braedon is unbelievable. I've yet to meet him but he will even give you a call regarding a substitution. I hope he is appreciated because in this day and age it is hard to get this level of service!

This Safeway was pretty large, has a Starbucks, and the florist section has SOOO many arrangements and price options for those flowers! I mainly am reviewing this location for their florist department. BEAUTIFUL fresh arrangements and so many options from Lillys to bright pink roses! I always go to VONS/SAFEWAY for flowers and little gift. Trust me and go to SAFEWAY for your bouquet and arrangement needs! :-)

It's the 3rd closest grocery store to our house. But we like it. And frequent it often. They still have staff that collect and wipe down the carts after every use. You will never walk in and not find a freshly sanitized cart. There staff smile (even under masks. You can tell by their eyes). They greet me every time I walk in. And unlike the general public, they wear those masks correctly, their entire shift. Today, I got to produce just as an apple rolled off the display case. A young employee had been stacking fruit and moved on past this area. He picked the apple up, and what did he do with it....he threw it away! This is why I still have faith in this store. When you watch the employees, they do the right thing. Store is clean, well organized, good sales. Come visit!
