“The BEST fried chicken ever! And the Arnold Palmer is the best I've ever had on a hot sunny day. There's a certain waitress there that is just the best & she is so friendly & always smiling. “We tried this for the first time today. We only got one meal because we wanted to try it first. IT WAS PHENOMENAL. Sometimes food near closing is mediocre, dry, tasteless. This was not the case. Everything tasted so fresh and it was just what I needed. The beef ribs, Mac and cheese and sweet potatoes oh my goodness. I am so happy we found this establishment and very very glad to support, we will be back. Keep up the great work! :)“

“Yesss ma’am!! Met ms. D at the Mesa location, let me tell you I will come back for her service alone!! she hooked it up!! I got referred to JL after telling my god mother I can’t find good soul food like back home in oakland in Arizona.. the Meat was amazing.. didn’t even need the sauce you can taste the smoke and the rub was soo good on the ribs/rib tips/brisket, the peach cobbler was warm and soft yummm. Very happy I came and found a solid bbq spot!! Thank you guys !“

“I'm from Memphis and frequented the Gus's in downtown for years, so excited they began franchising, I went to Ray rd and it's just the same perfect fried chicken. This is the ONLY fried chicken I will eat. Forever a Gus's fan!“

“This afternoon we serendipitously discovered this place while looking for a curio shop. Waldos 's is an ancient,vintage treasure which offers excellent BBQ at reasonable prices. We were told the place will soon undergo needed renovations. In the meantime, enjoy the many quirky old-time signs and wonderful food. You'll be glad you did!“
