Arrived at 12:00, the posted opening time, but it was locked up. There was a worked inside who looked over, held her finger up, messaging one minute. After more than 10 minutes, she still didn't open the restaurant, so my friend and I went to Rio Mirage, where we had a delicious lunch.

Great experience and kind owner! Me and my wife went as she craved elotes and we explained we wanted only an elote because she had pregnancy cravings and he was kind enough to give us one on the house! She loved the elote an everything looked amazing! We hope to be back very soon!

**As soon as I walked in, I was told very loudly it would be a 20-minute wait for food, and they only had asada and al pastor left available to order. I was asked if I wanted to dine in or order to go. I opted to dine in. There were 8 people waiting for their food. I patiently waited, wondering when my order was going to be taken. Well, it took over 20 minutes for my order to be taken and over another 20 minutes for my food to come out. No way, I would have waited 47 minutes for 5 tacos. I ordered 5 asada tacos ( 3 of which were bamba style) and 2 watermelon drinks my total $30 and change. The kicker for me was when 2 sets of Caucasian couples walked in, they were greeted totally different, and they also asked if they could order both shrimp and fish, and the owner quickly replied: Yes!I was blown away. I looked around, and 5 of the customers who were there before me were looking at me also puzzled, as they heard him tell me only beef and pork was left to order. I initially came in to order 3 shrimp tacos and 2 asada. My party of 2 was the only African Americans in the establishment.I ended up taking our food to go because my daughter was falling asleep, and I was absolutely offended by the indifferent treatment to their patrons. Needless to say, I won't be returning.

In town for spring training games with my sister. We tried this restaurant based on the great reviews and we were not disappointed! Edson recommended the combo basket with one of each taco (3 total) - very glad we followed that advice. Each one was unique and tasty, made fresh, and delivered hot off the grill. Definitely worth the short wait. The carnitas was my favorite, but you really can't go wrong with any choice. Edson is delightful, the tacos are delicious, and we will definitely be back next year, for the Royals and La Bamba tacos!

Nestled in the heart of El Mirage, Arizona, La Bamba Mexican Grill offers a culinary experience that transports you straight to the heart of Mexico with its authentic flavors and vibrant atmosphere. My recent visit to this charming restaurant was nothing short of delightful, thanks to their mouth-watering Carnitas and Asada corn street tacos, along with their homemade guacamole. The Carnitas and Asada tacos were a feast for the senses. Each taco was generously filled with meat, more than I've encountered at other establishments, ensuring each bite was as satisfying as the last. The flavors were authentic and well-balanced, capturing the essence of traditional Mexican cuisine. The corn shells, pan-seared to perfection, added a delightful crunch and depth of flavor that elevated the overall taste experience. The guacamole and tortilla chips, both homemade, were standout additions to the meal. The guacamole was fresh, with a rich, creamy texture that paired perfectly with the crispiness of the chips. It's clear that La Bamba takes pride in serving dishes made from scratch, a testament to their commitment to quality and authenticity.La Bamba's ambiance is inviting and homey, filled with an eclectic mix of art that seamlessly blends religious statements, humorous taco-themed gestures, and pieces declaring, "As for me and my house, we will serve tacos." This unique decor adds a layer of warmth and personality to the dining experience, making you feel right at home. The chef's personal approach to ensuring customer satisfaction was a highlight of our visit. Coming to our table to ensure everything met our expectations was a thoughtful touch that speaks volumes about their dedication to service excellence. The watermelon agua fresca was the cherry on top of an already fantastic meal. Fresh, sweet, and perfectly balanced, it provided a refreshing end to our culinary journey.La Bamba Mexican Grill is a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic Mexican cuisine in El Mirage, Arizona. With its generous portions, flavorful dishes, and unique ambiance, it stands out as a gem in the local dining scene. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by for a taste of Mexico that you won't soon forget.

John and I love to come to Spring Training every year. We usually go eat at the same spots but this year we decided to try something different. La Bamba Tacos were amazing. The atmosphere was great and the owner was an inspiration. Edson Garcia used to be homeless but through God’s grace he overcame adversity and through his restaurant he helps those that struggle with their own adversities.I recommend La Bamba tacos for great food and so much more.
