tl;dr - I recommend Basecamp at Snowbowl as a no frills, just-right option for folks that want a comfy room with great food (dinner only) and close proximity to Snowbowl. Great location, great staff, great food, good price. Bring a cooler and earplugs and find breakfast elsewhere.I stayed Basecamp late-February 2024 for two nights - a Monday and TuesdayPros:The room was clean and super comfy. You are amazingly close to the mountain - 16 minutes to the lifts. The check-in process, and the process to get your lift passes was very smooth and the staff was super helpful (thanks, Cameron for all the information about the mountain and helping get me squared away on the promo codes!).The Restaurant is fantastic - 5 ⭐s. The Arizona Cheesesteak and Cowboy Burger were both great after a day on the hill. It was a super chill environment to round out the day (thanks, Shea for the hospitality and the information about the upper bowl!).The room cost + lift ticket is a great deal. Prices surge on the mountain and to have package that allows to get a "free" pass is great. Apply your promo code to your card (See Cameron above☝️) when you purchase it and you are good to go.Cons:There is no fridge in the room. Plan ahead and bring a cooler with you for keeping any food/drinks cold. (Side note: Basecamp, please offer a breakfast food/coffee option for folks going up the hill. That would be amazing!)The walls are thin. You share a wall with the cabin next to you. Sometimes that means you need to listen to the dude next to you snore and depending on which room you get you might be along a road. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. The gas fireplace in the room was pretty loud. When it kicked on/off it would clank and wake me up. Again, if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs.A ways away from Flagstaff city center if that's your thing. Between the restaurant and the Maverick station 5 minutes up the road, I had everything I needed.Rooms: Clean room and a super comfy bed.Thin walls so you can hear your neighbor. No fridge.Nearby activities: Super close to Snowbowl. 15-20 minutes from your room to the lifts is awesome.Food & drinks: Restaurant and the staff are great.

Cool spot ,very close to snowbowl 10mins away straight up the hill, paper thin walls, you can hear everything at night in your room, dogs scratching the floors,my neighbor was vaping with his girlfriend all night coughing in the shower I had to turn the TV on to drown out all the noise this is not a cute retreat cabin it's more for storage I feel,to have a place close to the bowl to change or eat food you brought to save money ,the best part of the stay was the free lift tickets, if i could choose a room with a neighbor that is pet free it would have been a great stay ,leave the dogs at home.be considerate to everyone else so everyone can sleepRooms: Front Doors have huge gaps in the frame so it's drafty

Awesome deal staying for free lift tickets. We got a queen bed cabin. It was okay.. for sure something for simple living quarters. Wish there was a microwave to warm our food!! If you get super hot, bring a fan because the place gets HOT with that lil fire furnace inside. Restaurant had nice service but the food was mediocre!

The location of this is perfect! The downsides, the walls are so thin we could hear everything from the neighbors (including snoring), our blinds were broken, and the water pressure from the sink was literally droplets (also the sink water doesn't get hot). The best deal was the free lift tickets, but don't expect any glorious cabin.

Stay somewhere else if you can. If you decide to check in 10 minutes prior to the check in time, you will be turned away and cursed at. If you ask about your lift tickets that come with your purchase, you will be told to f off and figure it out yourself. We walked into the office and the woman at the front desk was screaming at the person on the other end. Definitely not a good look.

Truck blew a heater hose and the snowlbowl ppl across the street lied a second time to me and said we dont have pliers. But the lady doubled checked and gave me her new pliers to use got it twmp fixed and family on our way and couldnt find her to thank so left plier on the counter. So thank you very much if your read this you got us back home.

YOU CAN NOT REDEEM YOUR TWO FREE LIFT TICKETS FOR THE DAY YOU CHECK IN, THIS IS NOT MENTIONED ON THE WEBSITE OR DURING THE RESERVATION PROCESS, PLAN ACCORDINGLY!I wasted over an hour trying to figure out why nobody could find my preorder only to be told I had to spend ANOTHER $110 to get on the slopes (instead of $50 because I booked WEEKS in advance!) And the ticket credit they offer is only valid for A WEEK!As for the hotel itself, it's fantastic. Super convenient, nice modern room, pet friendly, and a good value, all things considered. Free coffee in the morning is a nice touch as well.

So to start on a positive note the location is right next to snowbowl so that’s a plus. The restaurant had great service but we probably won’t eat the food but the gals were very attentive with our drinks. The rooms are okay. The biggest thing I’m writing is to let whoever know that if you’re over 4’ 8” then the shower is not for you. It’s 100% not made for average sized people it’s strictly made for children. When using the toilet our knees were maybe 3 inches from the wall. It’s very close quarters. The heater was fine. You can just hear the outside a lot from inside the lodge. Don’t get me wrong this place wasn’t awful. The decor was cozy and beds were nice but yeah overall it’s a 3. They gave us a good deal on the tickets for skiing but as an overall trip we will probably stay at an actual hotel next time. Just a little too cramped in the bathroom for us

The primary decision to stay here was the close proximity to the Arizona Snowbowl. The room was exactly as advertised and pictured. Clean, warm, peaceful and quaint. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I was only here to sleep and shower before and after a day of skiing so it perfectly served my purposes and I will definitely stay here again in the future if I have a chance.Nearby activities: The proximity to the Arizona Snowbowl was the primary reason I stayed here but it looked nice from guest pictures too. The location is literally at the "base" of the road to AZ Snowbowl so unless camping, not going to get any closer. Nothing was walking distance but only a short drive to town (Flagstaff).

The property is cozy with a neat set up. The water pressure in the shower and the sink was horrible, literally the worst I've ever had. The bed was uncomfortable. The gas furnace is neat but shuts on and off all night long so is noisy when trying to sleep. Also the sound proofing is bad so with people checking in late night both nights, we could hear every noise they made. Wouldn’t recommend staying here unless its just for the night and you are going up to snowbowl in the morning. Even then there are hotels in town that are much nicer for less.

Would not recommend, the lady we spoke on the phone gave us false information. When we checked in we did not get the joined rooms like we asked for, and they charge extra to check in early ($20 each room) and if you need a roll away bed it's $15 each. Rooms are to small. The price we paid was not worth what we got.
