This is a wonderful restaurant in Fountain Hills and definitely worth checking out. If you want the sun, there's plenty of outdoor seating. Inside, it's dark with tons of religious iconography--dark, cool, music not loud.I'd skip the chicken tacos, but the juevos rancheros and chiliquis were outstanding. The homemade lemonade is also worth a try. It all tasted fresh and authentic.

Guacamole is great. Atmosphere outside is nice, indoor is nice but cramped. The service we received took a very long time, and the server did not return to ask if we wanted entrees.

I was at Sofrita on 3/21/24 with friends. My husband and I both had the shrimp tacos. Within 5 hours of eating, I suffered severe food poisoning. My husband was fine; I must have had a different batch of shrimp. I ended up going to the Honor Health walk-in and HH ER for treatment. Not sure what is going on in their kitchen, but we will never go there again.

Fun spot! The service was quick and the patio seating was very nice. We got lucky and went during a slow Sunday. Their lemonades were delicious! It's always a slight bummer to me when you have to pay for chips and salsa, but we did and enjoyed the flavor of the chips. It's about $7 a basket. The salsa was good too but could use a little more spice. We ordered the shrimp tacos (so good!) and the firehouse fish tacos. It was pretty tasty! I'll have to be back to try the bruschetta everyone else mentions. But overall a fun spot near the fountain!

What a lucky find. We were jammed up during this past weekend's art festival and starving. Was having difficulty finding a place and stumbled across Sofrita out of desperation. Glad we got lucky! Delicious street tacos. I had the shrimp and my friend had the talipia. Both were delicious with very fresh ingredients served nicely. The atmosphere is very casual. Wish they had seating at the bar, but otherwise a nice little place to gather, have great food and cold beverages.

I really enjoyed this Fountain Hills restaurant. We sat out on the patio and had delicious cucumber lemonade and desert flower tea. The table shared a few orders of tacos so we could all sample a few. Delish! They lost a star because 1. the water tasted 'off' as if they had well water. That was odd. And 2. The service was a bit slow, as the waiter was also working a large party .

Our party of 5 was asked to prematurely leave our table. We were ordering food, and consistently reordering drinks, so it truly blows my mind that we would be asked to leave an establishment, because people were waiting for a table. I will NEVER support this establishment again, based on this disrespectful treatment and disregard for decent customer service .
