I have been eating at Cafe Rio for 24 years. This is the worst location I have been to. I just ordered to go. My salad had barely any meat on it. There were maybe 4 medium size bites of meat and very little rice and beans as well. It had no guacamole, only a tablespoon of tortilla strips, and no lime. These are all things that are supposed to be on the salad. This location makes the tortillas strangely as well. They are oddly thin and crispy and not in a good way. The employees are not trained well either. They kept asking me questions I'd already answered and then they almost rang up my order incorrectly. Then they forgot something in the bag. The last time we went to this location I wasn't impressed either and now I just will drive a little further to go to a different location or go to Costa Vida.

Went to get a salad with grilled chicken...no grilled chicken available for the rest of the day... this was at 530pm. This happened to me on 3 different visits so 3 strikes and I am out of tries.

Cafe rio is one of our favorite places. This location and particular experience was by far the worst I have ever received. If you like service that makes you feel like an inconvenience, food that's cold and not fresh at all, and being over charged then not getting a receipt, then by all means, hit up this location.

Ordered a pickup. Went to the store to pickup and was told their tortilla machine was broken and they had cancelled all pickup orders. I have no problem with that, my issue is I never received that communication prior to going to the store. Frustrating for the travel and my daily having to choose somewhere else on the fly. Still haven't gotten any actual email confirmation that my order was cancelled and I was refunded. Fix the communication. Other than that, food is great. Will eat here again
Best shredded chicken tacos I've ever had! The service is fantastic! Their taco Tuesdays are a great deal! And it must be a requirement to work here, not sure, but the ladies here are beautiful!

I put an online order. I arrived and still not ready. I told them I was there and they still wouldn't make it. 3 cars went through the drive thru and 3 walk-in customers got their food. When I told them my food was late, the lady who could barely speak English yelled at me and said "Eef you don li, you cun leef". So, I left.

Cafe rio on s signal butte in Mesa , terrible. If you order it through Uber eats apparently they don't care to give you any meat in your burrito..no exaggeration. I've never left a yelp review before but I'm so incredibly annoyed it made me download this app.. i couldn't find the location on here so again it's the one on signal butte. I had maybe bite of the shredded pork in my entire burrito, if that. It was filled with mostly rice. Also didn't even taste like it usually does. Just garbage. Wasted $35.

Terrible!!! Pulled up and the drive thru attendant was not excited to be at work. It was 8pm and looked like they were getting ready to close. Our order was wrong, so she switched the drinks out and then handed me a device that asks how much do I want to tip!! I'm like since when do fast food restaurants ask for a tip at the drive thru!! Super tacky !! Got home and the rice was hard, the horchata was like water, (and my daughter is usually loves their horchata) and they barely put any cheese on their quesadillas!! I would've been beyond livid if I had tipped for shitty food & shitty service!! Please tell your employees to NOT ask for tips at the drive thru!! I mean for a burrito you're charging over $12 ! To ask for a tip without being waited on and without trying the food??? Seriously what would the tip be for??? Are they claiming these tips??

I have been to this Cafe Rio multiple times, from drive thru, to take out and dine in! I have always had such a great and pleasant service by Maria, Bonnie and others!! I go every week and I will keep going, my wife and my kids love it!

If I could I would've rated it 0 Stars. To start off i just came in to grab a bag of chips and there queso, it's 8:15 when I arrived and there's just a dumpster of trash in the drive through. So i went inside and there's 6 employees sitting down eating and half of the place is closed and the lady told me the drive through was open i told her there's trash in the way she said oh i guess it closed while there's still a good amount of customers. Took about 15 min in line when there was only one lady infront of me and she had a very unpleasant time clearly. All the food looked old, stale, and mixed with a bunch of other stuff around. Everything was dirty and looked unpleasant even the queso. Will not be coming back to this location they have no customer etiquette and don't care about there jobs.
