This is my favorite restaurant in Arizona. I had brisket and cornbread and I don’t remember what else, and loved it ALL. The honey butter is BEYOND! It’s definitely worth stopping here, and worth the wait in line!Dietary restrictions: They have lots of options for lactose-intolerant folks! It was easy to find things without cheese and milk in them.

I've been coming here for years now. Haven't found a better place for bbq in the whole of AZ. The line is usually long, but it goes down quickly. I get their sliced brisket. It's very tender and falls apart and has an amazing smokey taste. My husband gets the ham because it's one of the only places he can get smoked ham. Don't forget they also give you free food on your birthday!
I had a few good experiences here and usually got the jackfruit sandwich, however, last time I went they looked confused and said they couldn’t do that. I’m not sure how that could be, considering that’s what I usually get and it states that you chose the meat or, “meat” in my case, and put it on a roll. I ended up with just a lump of jackfruit on a plate… that turned me off and haven’t been back since. Props on the root beer and cream soda tho ?

Great BBQ and good service. However the lines are INSANE. Be prepared to stand in line for a while.

Always love the food at Joe's! Just wish the wait were shorter. It was super long even on a Thursday night...
I was pleasantly surprised with how good the food was and everything was good! I ordered the Mac and cheese, braised greens, chopped brisket, and pork ribs, and then a peach cobbler.

That family there had their ribs and some sausage. Sausage had really tough casing on the outside. Never had the barbecue place with tough sausage like that but the ribs are great.
Great place in Downtown Gilbert! Some of the best barbeque around. Parking is plentiful around the area (basically just some big parking lots for Downtown Gilbert itself. Then everything is walking distance). My favorite part about this place is that they give you a ten dollar (now $14) credit for you meal on your birthday (you have to show your driver's license or other identification)! So basically every time I or one of my friends has a birthday I'll go. The Big Bad Wolf sandwich is delicious! They also have great outdoor seating area. Great place to take the family. However, not everything on the menu is fantastic. Things like the cheesy potatoes or jackfruit are sub-par in my opinion. The root beer is also not the greatest. I got a root beer float last time I was there and was disappointed by it (you do get to choose your soda though so I just made the mistake of choosing root beer). Overall though this is a great place to go! Definitely recommend!Vegetarian options: Jackfruit

The food was really good, service was good, they cleared the table off and help with the trays, except that I was charged for things I never ordered, as I tried to tell the lady who rang me up after I sat down looked at the receipt. Told me she couldn't do anything. Her manger nowhere.

The BBQ was legit! The brisket is to die for.I love the restored John Deere tractor in the lobby.Parking: Can be difficult at times. There is a multi-level parking garage near The Culinary Dropout restaurant that is a short walk away.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicapped parking nearby and wide sidewalks.

Great BBQ and fast service! Even when there's a line out the door, they manage to keep that line moving fast!
Amazing food here, I wish there was a place nearly this good near where I live!
